May 10 - Marching In One Line

The Show Room import label announced the release of the CD "Marching In One Line" containing a recording of Elvis Presley's performance from May 1st. 1976 as recorded at the Sahara Hotel in lake Tahoe, Nv. 


EPE Sold Once More


CKx Inc., the parent company of Elvis Presley Enterprises since 2005, will now be in the hands of a New York private equity firm. CKx announced Tuesday it is being acquired by Apollo Global Management LLC with financing of the $509 million deal by Goldman Sachs Bank USA. The sale includes not only EPE but the production company for the television show American Idol and ownership of the image of Muhammad Ali, which are also under the CKx umbrella.



The board of directors of CKx has approved the merger agreement and is recommending that stockholders approve it. Apollo has obtained support agreements from two stockholders, The Promenade Trust, the sole beneficiary of which is Lisa Marie Presley and which is the company’s partner in Elvis Presley Enterprises, and Robert F.X. Sillerman, CKx’s largest stockholder.

The Doxy budget label re-issued the "Elvis 55" compilation with Louisiana Hayride recordings on vinyl.
