October 09 - Suspicious Releases

The Clay Pasternack budget label announced the release of the CD "Essential Collection" which is due November 06, 2012. 

Stars De Légende: Elvis Presley

Elvis Club Berlin mentions a new DVD, due in France, entitled "Stars De Légende" which is due November 6, 2012.


Elvis - A Man, All Music Vol.2 1968/1977

Jean-Marie Pouzenc announced volume 2 of his book "Elvis - A Man, All Music 1968 / 1977". The two volumes cover all of the - over 900 - songs Elvis recorded in chronological order. All with detailed information on authors, composers, producers and musicians on 250 pages with hundreds of photo's and documents. 

The book comes with a 26 track CD overing recordings from 1953 to 1977, specially edited by Sony for exclusive release with this book. The book is due January 2013.

Suspicious Premiere

On the Rolling Stones website the fan footage which will be released on the "Prince From Another Planet" set from Sony.

Back in June 1972, Elvis Presley played four hotly anticipated shows at Madison Square Garden. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the concerts, Sony is releasing Prince From Another Planet: 40th Anniversary Edition on October 9th, including two CDs and a DVD. In this clip from Prince, previously unseen fan-filmed footage of Elvis performing "Suspicious Minds" gives a different sheen to the massive gigs, documenting the experience as from a fan's direct perspective. Elvis shakes, rattles and rolls through his 1969 Mark James-penned hit, and of course, his sparkly blue outfit looks as good as ever.

Découverte des Musiciens"-Collection announced the release of the 24 pages book "Elvis Presley" by Stephane Olivier. It is due October 25, 2012.
