January 09 - Vinyl, CD and DVD Import Releases

Following the hugely popular and acclaimed volume 1 in the 'Home Movies' DVD trilogy, volume 2 has now been released by the Roar Productions importlabel. The Elvis home movies contains rare and unseen private footage from the sixties. 

The content:
 See Elvis on vacation in Hawaii, enjoying the snow in Colorado, meeting his fans, together with Tom Jones and much much more. Sit back and enjoy a journey of Elvis in private throughout the 60s, in the best quality. The DVD is region free: NTSC: Total running time 146 minutes.

Going Back To Houston

The first CD release from the new TNT Records importlabel was released. The producers teamed with the Audionics importlabel for the audio. The set contains two concerts recorded June 4 and 5, 1974 in Houston, Texas. 
 
Closing Strong

The VV importlabel released the vinyl / CD set "Closing Strong" containing a soundboard recording from February 23th 1970 Las Vegas Closing show, and an audience recording of the March 1, 1970 2.30 PM show performance by Elvis Presley as recorded at the Houston Astrodome, Houston TX. 

The set comes as a double LP set, 200 gr. vinyl picture disc contains the February 23, 1970 Closing Night, the CD with the Houston show, comes with a plain sleeve. The set itself is limited to 500 copies. 

Elvis Stamps From Austria


The Austrian Postal Service released an Elvis stamp to commemorate what would have been Elvis Presley’s  79th birthday. It is a set of 8 official Elvis stamps. Four stamps have a value of 0.62 euro each, four others of 0.70 euro. Although the stamps are available in a set of eight only (for 9,90 euro, or 12,50 $US), they can be used to send letters or parcels.
