September 16 - Million Dollar Charts

Two releases containing the famous recordings by the Million Dollar Quartet, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash on December 4, 1956 at the Sun Studio, have been released.  

The Hoodoo Records label release the “Million Dollar Quartet – The Complete Session In Its Original Sequence” that comes with a 16 page booklet. 


The Charly Records label released “Million Dollar Quartet” on a double vinyl LP. This edition comes in a gatefold cover but contains less tracks than the Hoodoo records release of these recordings. 

Road To Nowhere


The import release “Road To Nowhere” has been released by the E.P. Collector label. This CD contains a previously unreleased concert performance as recorded live from the audience on May 21, 1977 in front of 18.000 fans at the Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky.

US Charts
The CD “If I Can Dream” remained steady at #6 on the Billboard Classical Album chart. 
The CD “Way Down In The Jungle Room” dropped from #64 to #95 on the Belgian Album chart. 

UK Charts
The “If I Can Dream” CD dropped from #88 to #95 on the Official UK Album Chart. 
The “If I Can Dream” CD climbed from #74 to #69 on the Official UK Physical Sales Album Chart. 
The “ Platinum Elvis” CD set climbed from #43 to #42 on the Official UK Indie Album chart.

Scottish Charts
The “If I Can Dream” CD climbed from #88 to #84 on the Official Scottish Album Chart. 
The “The Real … Elvis” 3 CD set climbed from #98 to #94 on the Official Scottish Album chart.

Belgian Charts
The 3 CD set “The Real… Elvis – 60’s Collection” re-entered the Belgian Mid-price Album chart at #45 this week. 

Australian Charts
The DVD "Elvis: The King Of Rock 'N' Roll" dropped from #28 to #34 on the Australian Music DVD chart.
This week both "Way Down in the Jungle Room" and "If I Can Dream" dropped off the Australian Album chart.
