April 15 - From Georgia To Florida

The Follow That Dream collectors label announced the release of the double CD "From Georgia To Florida". This 5 inch digipack features Elvis in great form from his shows at the Coliseum in Macon on April 24, 1975 and Lakeland (afternoon show) on April 27, 1975. The latter show is previously unreleased. The show from April 24 has been released (in part) on the import-titles "In the Heart of Georgia", "Southern Nights" and "Elvis In Florida".

Songwriter Les Reed Died

Songwriter Les Reed died at the age of 83. Elvis Presley recorded three songs (co-)written by Les Reed: "This Is Our Dance", "Sylvia" and "Girl Of Mine"His songs were recorded by The Fortunes, Herman's Hermits, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck, Petula Clark, Ray Conniff, Connie Francis,  Shirley Bassey, Bing Crosby and many more.
