March 08 - Preview in Technicolor in Black & White

Here is a small preview of the book “Elvis, Technicolor in Black & White” by Jean-Marie Pouzenc that will be released June 6 2020. 

The book focusses on the movies “Blue Hawaii” and “Fun In Acapulco” but also tells the story of Elvis's entire cinematographic career in France through photos, posters (Belgium and France), reviews, advertisements, background stories, the songs and the records, magazine covers and rare French documents. The book contains several hundred unpublished black and white photos from the Paramount archives and the French CinĂ©monde magazine. 
But also, more broadly, he tells the story of Elvis's entire cinematographic career in France, film by film, through photos, posters, synopsis, reviews, advertisements, stories, songs, records, magazine covers, rare French documents.

The book-size is 27 by 27 cm. And comes with an additional CD containing 29 alternate takes and movie rarities from 1956 to 1962 as well as a 25 cm LP with 8 alternatie takes. 

As a bonus - for French customers - the book comes with a special CD featuring 25 interpretations of Elvis Presley songs by 20 different artists, Lucky Blondo, Johnny Hallyday, Henri Salvador, Les Negresses Vert, Les champions, Danny Boy , André Claveau, Yvette Giraud, Michel Roux and Pascal Sevran.

Follow That Dream March 2020

The Follow That Dream label announced the release of the March 2020 titles; “Elvis: St. Louis / Spokane” and “Kid Galahad” in the Session Series.

The Follow That Dream label also informed fan clubs that the “American Sound '69” ‘set has been deleted. This 5 CD set was a one-time-print only.  


As part of its ongoing live on tour series, FTD is pleased to announce the release of Elvis: St. Louis / Spokane. Released as a 2-CD 5 inch digi-pack, this set features Elvis at the Kiel Auditorium on March 22 and The Coliseum on April 1976. 

Fans spotted (Photoshop) errors on the cover. Roger Semon responded: "The difference is negligible - the designer has straightened up the photo and brightened Elvis’ eyes. In our view he looks much better than on the original".
