It starts of with spectacular special effects, re-creating Elvis' birthplace in Tupelo and from there the story begins. The footage on this DVD is combined from the best available fan footage shot that night and is in great quality and sound. Many different angles were used to produce the best possible impression of this very special concert for your viewing pleasure. It is the most complete DVD production of 'Elvis The/In Concert' ever.

October 29 - Follow That Single
The October 2013 Follow that Dream releases "G.I. Blues Vol. 2" and "On Stage - The Opening And Closing Shows" have been released. These are some previews.
Christmas Single
Susan Boyle's upcoming charity Christmas single is a rendition of O Come, All Ye Faithful, complete with the voice of Elvis Presley. The single is due from Syco on December 9, 2013, but already available through iTunes. The Scottish singer told ITV News' Nick Thatcher it is a "great honour" to take part in the digital duet.
The Christmas carol is in conjunction with Save The Children, the charity for which Boyle is an Ambassador. Royalties from the release will go directly to the charity. Duetting with Elvis was beyond my wildest dreams. And now that this is able to raise moneyand help children is simply fantastic.
The black-and-white video for the song - which shows a "mini" Elvis dancing alongside the singer - was shot at a Glasgow primary school and features children from the Fast programme.
The charity's chief executive, Justin Forsyth, said he hoped the song would "highlight the plight of children around the world". The single, from Boyle's fifth album, will be released on Sunday December 8. A preview and interview available at >> iTV.

October 27 - Things Get Loose In Poland
After the release of two essential new soundboard albums in a row ("Houston We Have A Problem" and "The Creeping Crud Express") the Audionics import-label is now back with the third soundboard release of the year. This time the producers selected the Tuscaloosa show from June 3rd 1975, which was previously released on the King label as Deep Down South in 1997. This new release was taken from a different, superior quality tape source which was obtained at the same time as the previously mentioned unreleased soundboards according to the press-release (read it below).
Elvis’ show in Tuscaloosa is a real fun concert that is a delight to listen to. His singing is excellent, he’s in a good mood and he clearly loves the interplay with his fans. His setlist during the June 1975 tour was a rather strong one, with a solid mix of classics and more recent numbers. Most of these were performed really well too, and even the oldies were treated with a bit more respect than usual. Keen observers will note that he dropped the tempo a notch or two on songs like All Shook Up and Teddy Bear / Don’t Be Cruel. The King was truly back, and he really rocked Tuscaloosa with great dynamic performances like Burning Love, Mystery Train / Tiger Man and, just for tonight, a gorgeous Bridge Over Troubled Water.
This CD is presented in beautifully designed deluxe digi-pack with relevant liner notes and a couple of rare photos as taken on the night. Due to the lack of quality photographs from Tuscaloosa, we also used a few photos from the Huntsville, AL, May 31st 8:30 pm show. Elvis only wore the Red Eagle (or Red Phoenix) jumpsuit on these two nights.
We know what you want to ask now…. ‘Is this really a significant sound upgrade?’, and to that we can only answer wholeheartedly, yes! Firstly, because we were able to work from a superior tape source, and secondly, because the sonic improvement of soundboard tapes has made real quantum leaps since 1997. We are very proud of the sound that we got out of this new tape source. And while we can’t “go back and touch the past”, this great new Audionics release is the next best thing to actually being there that special night in Tuscaloosa.
Note: Audionics is planning a special release before the end of this year, with more previously unissued material. While the other import guys appear to be in hybernation, we are only just warming up! You can always count on Audionics to deliver the goods.
Tracklisting:
I Got A Woman / Amen (incomplete) / Love Me / If You Love Me, Let Me Know / Love Me Tender / All Shook Up / (Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear – Don’t Be Cruel / Hound Dog / The Wonder Of You / Burning Love / Introductions by Elvis of Singers, Musicians / Johnny B. Goode (James Burton) / Drum Solo (Ronnie Tutt) / Bass Solo (Jerry Scheff) / Piano Solo (Glen D. Hardin) / School Day (Joe Guercio Orchestra) / Bridge Over Troubled Water / T.R.O.U.B.L.E. / Hawaiian Wedding Song / Let Me Be There (with reprise) / An American Trilogy / Funny How Time Slips Away / Little Darlin’ / Mystery Train – Tiger Man / Can’t Help Falling In Love / Closing Vamp / Announcements.
(Also Sprach Zarathustra, CC Rider and a large chunk of I Got A Woman / Amen were not taped by the sound engineer.)
Bonus: Sports commentator Harold Johnson and Elvis talk live on the radio about the football game at the Liberty Bowl Stadium – August 9th 1975

The UK release "Elvis Presley - A Photographic Celebration" was re-issued in Poland as "Elvis Osobisty Album Elvisa Presleya". The book is 208 pages.

October 25 - A Country Biography
Elvis Presley fans had hope that Ginger Alden, Elvis Presley's fiancee and last love finally, would tell here story one day. That day arrived, Publisher Berkley announced the release of her autobiography on August 5, 2014.
From the publisher:
“Elvis, you and I know the truth and unfortunately you’re not here to set the record straight. With this book, I will try to...”
Elvis Presley and Graceland were fixtures in the life of Ginger Alden, having been born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. But she had no idea that she would play a part in that enduring legacy—as Elvis Presley’s fiancée, and his last great love. For over three decades Ginger has held the truth of their relationship close to her heart. Now she shares her unique story, and while a lot has been written about the King, the Elvis we meet in this long-anticipated memoir is a revelation.
In her own words Ginger details their whirlwind romance—from first kiss to his stunning proposal of marriage. She details his exploration of Eastern religions, his perception of being a “legend,” his devotion to family and friends, and her attempt to know the insular group surrounding Elvis. And for the very first time she talks about the devastating end of it all, and the 50,000 mourners and reporters who descended on Graceland in 1977, exposing Ginger to the reality of living in the spotlight of a short, yet immortal, life.
Above it all, Alden rescues Elvis from the hearsay, rumors, and tabloid speculations of his final year by shedding a frank yet personal light on a very public legend. From a unique and intimate perspective, she reveals the man—complicated, romantic, fallible, and human—behind the enduring myth, a superstar worshipped by millions, and loved by Ginger Alden.
Country Chart
Billboard published an overview of the artist that made it to the Top 10 of Billboard's Country Album chart in the nearly 50-year history of this chart. Wilie Nelson tops the chart while Elvis Presley - not a 100% Country artist - is listed at #9. The acts with the most Top 10's since Top Country Albums premiered the week of Jan. 11, 1964:
46 -- Willie Nelson
41 -- Dolly Parton
40 -- Merle Haggard
39 -- Loretta Lynn

For volume 3 the question is if Trevor Simpson should should start in 1961 with just the studio sessions (His Hand In Mine / Something For Everybody / Pot Luck) and leave out the Films? October 23 - Elvis, Second To MJ
Elvis Presley is listed at #2 on Forbes Best Earning Dead Celebrities list. Michael Jackson is listed at #1.
Much of Jackson’s money comes from two Cirque du Soleil shows. Immortal, a touring show, has grossed over $300 million since opening last year. One, which opened at the Mandalay Bay in May, is routinely sold out. Both shows feature the usual Cirque du Soleil acrobatics but One comes with a bonus: a hologram-like illusion of Jackson performs “Man in the Mirror” at the end of the show. The King of Pop also still earns from his music and his half of the Sony SNE -1.87%/ATV catalog, which includes hits by The Beatles, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift among others.
Ranking second on our list is Elvis Presley with an estimated $55 million in posthumous earnings. The King of Rock n’ Roll may have taken a back seat to the King of Pop, but his estate is still earning steadily thanks to his eternally popular image and his famous home, Graceland. That was enough to convince billionaire Leon Black and his firm, Apollo Global Management, to buy CKX, the parent company of American Idol and the estates of both Elvis and Muhammad Ali, for $509 million in 2011.
Jackson reclaims the No. 1 spot on our list from his friend Elizabeth Taylor. The movie star, who passed away in 2011, earned an estimated $210 million in the 12 months to October 2012 thanks to a series of lucrative auctions at Christie’s of Taylor’s art, jewels and clothes. This year her earnings dropped to an estimated $25 million, landing her in fourth place. Peanuts creator Charles Schulz ranks fourth for the second year in a row with $37 million. The Peanuts are still big but Iconix, which now runs the Peanuts license, thinks they could be even bigger. A new movie, starring the whole gang, is in the works at Fox.
Rounding out our top five is Bob Marley with $18 million. The iconic reggae singer might find it strange that his name has become part of a capitalist enterprise. There are Bob Marley speakers and messenger bags as well as a line of Bob Marley drinks that come in “mellow mood” and “one drop” (A.K.A. coffee).
1. Michael Jackson $160 million
2. Elvis Presley $55 million
3. Charles Schulz ('Peanuts' creator) $37 million.
4. Elizabeth Taylor $25 million.
5. Bob Marley $18 million.

Disc 1 recorded at the opening night show January 26, 1970 at the International Hotel, Las Vegas. Disc 2 recorded at the closing night show on February 23, 1970 at the International Hotel, Las Vegas. 'The On Stage Season refers to the fact that Elvis' classic live album, On Stage, Feb 1970 was recorded during this engagement.
While both shows are of great interest, the second disc is highlighted by a mid concert performance of See See Rider and performances of One Night and It's Now Or Never. Both shows have standouts in Don't Cry Daddy, Kentucky Rain, Let It Be Me. Disc 1 also features True Love Travels On A Gravel Road.

October 16 - Collecting Elvis Movies
Volume 47 in the German "Elvis Sammlung" series was released by De'Agostini. This volume contains a magazine, memorabilia reproductions, a mini-poster for the famous "Homecomming" concert and more.
Elvis Movie
Lisa Marie Presley confirmed that talks for a big screen film about the life of her father Elvis Presley film have begun and she is all for a biopic film about her late father’s life.
Big music makers such as Johnny Cash and Ray Charles have had major hit films made about their lives and contributions to the music industry, so Lisa Marie Presley feels it would only be fitting for her dad, The King of Rock and Roll to have his own big screen film also.
Rumors are circulating that Mick Jagger, the Rolling Stones front man has been working on a project about Elvis Presley called “Last Train to Memphis,” which will focus around the early career of Elvis.
Elvis Presley first bust out into the music industry in 1954 began his music career in 1954 and to this day and forever will always remain a music and pop culture icon. On August 16, 1977 Elvis Presley died from heart failure at the age of 42, leaving behind his only daughter Lisa Marie Presley and millions of broken-hearted female fans, many who make a trip to his Graceland home every year on the anniversary of his death to honor the king.
If Lisa Marie Presley gives the green light for a big screen film about her father Elvis Presley’s life, which celebrity male do you believe would be the best to capture the essence of Elvis Presley?

October 13 - Love Me Tonight
Just released is the CD "Love Me Tonight" on the "SR" label featuring an unreleased show from Las Vegas February 13, 1971 Midnight Show.
From the press-release:
After a long research we finally located a good tape that gives us the possibility to produce another show from Elvis fourth season. As everybody knows SR concentrates its work on Elvis early 70's live period, trying to produce unreleased shows with Elvis at the top of his possibilities. In this new release, we are proud to present the complete show from February 13th, midnight performance of the fourth Elvis’ historical Vegas season.
The midnight show from February 13th, as presented on this CD, .. no surprises in the tracklist, but the show is extremely solid and good, the sound is good and powerful using a straight copy of the original source tape. Elvis' performance on these early season nights is superb as he is still performing to the best of his ability. Although he delivers short shows they are delivered in a very intense, crisp and fresh manner that cannot be denied. Elvis was on stage to have fun and demonstrated this during the older, classic numbers, but songs such as 'Polk Salad Annie', 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling' and 'Sweet Caroline' never sounded better. The season will be remembered for the beautiful new closing number ‘The Impossible Dream’ which Elvis sang with power and feeling giving us proof that Elvis continued to grow as a performer.
This recording came from an early generation copy of the master tape, the sound quality is very good considering the early season. We have in our hands the original mono tape of extremely good quality enabling us to carry out simple re-mastering work, concentrating on the reduction of noise and trying to achieve a more clear sound and of Elvis, keeping his vocal power up in the central mix and at the same time trying to give a great definition to the background music. The Tape was unfortunately incomplete, Suspicious Minds last only four minutes for a cut in the middle.
As usually from this label, this new CD will come in a deluxe digipack, containing a collection of live photographs from the season and informative liner notes .
Tracks:
01. Opening/That’s All Right, 02. I Got A Woman, 03. I Can’t Help Falling,04.Proud Mary, 05. You’ve Lost Than Loving Feeling06. Polk Salad Annie, 07. Johnny B. Good, 08. Something, 09. How Great Thou Art, 10. Mystery Train/Tiger Man, 11. Love Me,12. Don’t Be Cruel, 13. Heartbreak Hotel, 14. Blue Suede Shoes, 15. Little Sister/Get Back, 16. Hound Dog, 17. *Suspicious Minds, 18. Band Introduction, 19. The Impossible Dream. * Incomplete Approximate Total running time: 47.58

Rock And Roll Landmarks
Rolling Stone Magazine have announced and brought together the ultimate list of the top 52 Rock 'N' Roll landmarks across America. And Elvis has got three locations rightly in the list, starting in Tupelo with the Kings place of birth. Rolling Stone’s list, that includes other Elvis sites like Graceland and Sun Studio, features a litany of significant locations in the history of America’s music. Below are the three locations and what 'Rolling Stone' has to say about them:
ELVIS PRESLEY BIRTHPLACE - TUPELO, MISSISSIPPI
Established: 1934
Notable Acts: Elvis Presley
Historical Significance: Located in the northeast Mississippi town of Tupelo,
Presley’s childhood domain stands as a museum open to the public. The two-bedroom, shotgun-style house, with its four front steps and a small porch, was built for $180 by Presley’s father, Vernon, in anticipation of Elvis’ birth. It remained the family’s home until they moved to nearby Memphis when Presley was 13.
SUN STUDIO - MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE
Established: 1950
Notable Acts: Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis
Historical Significance: Opened by early rock champion Sam Phillips and originally called Memphis Recording Service, this recording studio - later attached to Phillips’ influential label, Sun Records - hosted sessions from some of rock’s earliest icons. Most notable was Elvis Presley, who, in August of 1953, recorded his first official tracks here, including the breakout single "It’s Alright, Mama."
GRACELAND, MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE
Established: 1939
Notable Acts: Elvis Presley
Historical Significance: Elvis Presley’s former home now serves as a living monument to the artist. It was opened to the public on June 7, 1982, just shy of five years after Presley’s death. During his life, Graceland was the center of the massive Presley machine. In addition to housing his wife and his daughter, the 13.8-acre estate was tended to by a massive staff of workers and hangers-on.

October 03 - Streaming The King
According to SoundExchange, a performance rights organization that collects royalties from more than 2,000 digital music services, Elvis Presley ranks as the most frequently streamed artist of the past decade, followed by Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam.
"I find it interesting you've got Elvis Presley, you've got The Beatles," says Marie Knowles, SoundExchange's vice president of communication. "They're among the most listened to on this new platform. These are iconic rock acts, and they've got staying power."
Satellite radio appears to have a particularly heavy influence on the SoundExchange rankings. The top three acts — Presley, Springsteen and Pearl Jam – all have dedicated channels on Sirius XM, as does the Grateful Dead.
SoundExchange, founded in 2003, collects royalty payments for artists and rights holders from the digital music services, which include satellite radio and streaming television services like Music Choice. Internet radio stations such as Pandora and iHeartRadio, as well as Internet music sites like Last.fm, comprise the majority of the services the organization licenses. The organization's payments are calculated based on how many times the organization receives reports that a user actually listened to a particular track. SoundExchange does not license on-demand services like YouTube and Spotify, where listeners choose to play specific tracks.

October 01 - CD Scans
They may not have had the same hairstylist — or maybe they did — but Elvis Presley and Ann Williams made beautiful music together. Margaret Ann Williams died Oct. 1 after a long career as a soul singer, most notably with the Sweet Inspirations, the female group that provided a gospel flavor to Presley’s live shows and many recordings in the late 1960s and ’70s.
Williams joined the group when Cissy Houston left in 1969, and enjoyed a short run with Elvis, including an appearance in the 1970 documentary, “That’s the Way It Is.” She mysteriously left the King’s court during a summer 1971 engagement at Lake Tahoe. Besides Elvis, she sang extensively with Aretha Franklin, who called her “Taurus.”

Soundscan listed their "Top Album Selling Artist" listed on sales since Soundscan started counting U.S. sales in 1991. Elvis Presley is listed at #11 with 35,550,000 albums sold.
