November 05 - New Japanese Elvis Book

, a famous Japanese music critic, who's always championed Elvis and his music in Japan, is working on a new book titled 'Eien ni Kataomoi' ('Forever Unrequited Love') which should be available January 8, 2026. 

The 228-page black and white paperback book was edited by Atsushi Nakamura, who will publish the two-volume book 'FTD-World' with Elvis expert David Ward later this month.

Publicity stated: A book by music critic and lyricist, Reiko Yukawa, on behalf of Japanese Elvis fans, dedicated to Elvis in heaven. It covers the 70 years she has lived with Elvis in her life, what she has written in various music magazines and Elvis specialty magazines, as well as lectures she has given. It gives a clear understanding of what Elvis meant to fans in Japan.

About the author: Reiko Yukawa (Music Critic/Lyricist)
Born in 1936 in Meguro-Ku, Tokyo. She made her debut as a music critic in 1960 with a submission to the jazz magazine, "Swing Journal." She is a pioneering female radio DJ and, while active as a music critic, also has many hit songs as a lyricist. In addition to serving as a television commentator, she is involved in environmental conservation activities. She is one of Japan's foremost Elvis Presley fans.

Platinum

Elvis' 'Always On My Mind' single, as re-issued on November 11, 2004, was awarded a Platinum certification by the British Phonographic Industries for selling over 600,000 physical and digital equivalent copies. This is the 6th BPI award for Elvis this year.
