May 20 - Joan Deary Vinyl

The Knock Out record label announced the June 2026 release of the 'The Joan Deary Tapes - Volume 1' on vinyl. It will be available as a Limited Numbered Edition in three different colors variations: black, blue and red. 

Publicity stated: Knock Out Records is excited to announce the release of 'The Joan Deary Tapes – Volume 1', a double album packed with rare studio and live outtakes from the personal collection of the late Joan Deary. Newly remastered from the original tapes, this release offers the best sound quality these recordings have ever had.

 

LP 1: Side A: Jailhouse Rock (Take 5) - Stand By Me (Take 2) - Stay Away (Take 13) - It Hurts Me (Spliced Version) - Inherit The Wind (Take 1) - Kentucky Rain (Take 1) - Only The Strong Survive (Take 6).

Side B: Life (Take 10, Ending Take 2) - Early Morning Rain (Take 11, Unfaded) - Help Me Make It Through The Night (Take 10) - If I Get Home On Christmas Day (Take 6, 7) - Burning Love (Take 2 - Rehearsal) - If You Don't Come Back (Take 7)*.

LP 2 - Side C: I Got A Feelin' In My Body (Studio Rehearsal) - Promised Land (Take 1) - There's A Honky Tonk Angel (Take 2, 3) - Your Love's Been A Long Time Coming (Take 4) - I've Got A Thing About You Baby (Take 1, Unfaded) - And I Love You So (Take 1) - Love Coming Down (Undubbed Master).

Note: This release contains the previously release Take 7 of 'If You Don't Come Back' according to the press release. This Take was previously listed on the 2023 CD 'The Joan Deary tapes', but identified as Take 4 by Keith Flynn.
