The Touchdown Productions importlabel announced two new audience recorded releases entitled "At Dinner In Vegas"and "Back On Track In Vegas".
From the press-release:
Touchdown Productions proudly presents two new audience recorded releases. One of it, the dinner Show from September 3, 1972 is another totally new show that didn't even circulate on CDR or in any other form. The show was very good, Elvis was in fine form and sang some very fine renditions of "What Now My Love", "I'll Remember You" and also "For The Good Times"! The sound quality is good for this kind of recordings. The CD comes with a beautiful designed 16-pages booklet.

At the same time Touchdown Produtions will release the midnight show from January 28, 1974. Elvis was much more focussed during the first Vegas engagement in 1974 as he had been during the former engagement when Elvis presented himself less professional than in recent years. The midnight show had an interesting song line-up which included some seldom sung songs like "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'", "Spanish Eyes" or "Sweet Caroline". The soundquality is good for this kind of recordings. The CD comes also as usual with a beautiful designed 16-pages booklet including lots of rare pictures from this engagement!

Ace Photographer Shows Iconic Elvis picture
Ace photojournalist Pete Hohm spent much of his long career at the Star Tribune photographing hockey, baseball and basketball games, but like all staff cameramen, he did every job that came his way which is how he happened to be at the Metropolitan Sports Center in Bloomington on a night in November 1971 when Elvis Presley took the stage and a blizzard of flashbulbs lit up the scene.
Holm's work will be celebrated in a show at Carbon Chroma Gallery in the Northrup King Building, 1500 Jackson St., N.E. Gala party 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., January 18, free. The show will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Jan. 17, 18, 24 and 25.
