The Dutch Elvis Corner webshop announced the release of the bonus CD 'Soldier Boy' as a bonus for their customers who buy the box.

On his work for this set Stuchbury said: All the tracks on the set are in Mono. I did have the green light to open them up if I’d wished, but I chose not to do so. I’m sure that will surprise many, especially as converting mono to stereo seems to be my thing ? It also means that I have turned down the chance to be a part of what could have been the very first official Elvis Presley mono to stereo release.
Here is my reasoning.

In a recording studio there’s usually more than one microphone being used in said studio, so each mic, theoretically, could be seen as an individual source. We know that the German home recordings were made using a reel to reel tape recorder, and that only one microphone was present and being used.

With all that in mind, and this being an official archival release, of which the new masters will now enter the official Sony Elvis archive, I decided to keep them as authentic as possible, so they are as recorded, in Mono.

Publicity for the LP stated: FTD Vinyl is pleased to announce the release of “Promised Land - Companion Album' containing the best of 'Alternate Takes' and not the final Masters, as a special numbered Translucent Claret Limited 2-LP Edition.

FTD Vinyl’s first release in August, 2010 arrived long before the great vinyl revival of many years later. Due to the format’s modest sales back then, long-deleted FTD titles are now commanding high prices online and at record fairs.

To accommodate new vinyl collectors who missed out on some of these rare Elvis releases, FTD plans to reissue several key in-demand titles. 'Promised Land - The Companion Album' was previously issued in May 2012. This collectible individually numbered limited edition features a new cover design and Translucent Claret vinyl.

Side A: Promised Land (Take 3, 4) - There's A Honky Tonk Angel (Take 4 + Composite Of Take 5, 3, 8) - Help Me (Take 1 F.S.+ Remixed Master) - Mr. Songman (Take 2) - Love Song Of The Year (Take 1) - Promised Land.

Side B: It's Midnight (Take 7) - Your Love's Been A Long Time Coming (Take 10) - If You Talk In Your Sleep (Take 5) - Thinking About You (Take 4) - You Asked Me To (Take 3A) - There's A Honky Tonk Angel (Take 1).

Side C: Promised Land (Take 5) - Love Song Of The Year (Take 3, 4, 6) - It's Midnight (Take 11) - You Asked Me To (Take 2B) - Thinking About You (Take 3).

Side D: If You Talk In Your Sleep (Take 9 - Undubbed Master) - You Asked Me To (Take 1, 2A) - There's A Honky Tonk Angel (Take 6, 7) - Mr. Songman (Take 3, 5) - Promised Land (Take 6 Undubbed Master).

June 03 - EPiC Streaming From Lake Tahoe

Following its successful global theatrical release, the movie 'EPiC: Elvis Presley In Concert' debuted exclusively on Paramount+ in the United Stated and will debut in Canada on July 24th.

The Last Show In Lake Tahoe

The ReelTrax import record label released 'The Last Show In Lake Tahoe' on CD and a variation of colored vinyl.

The LP can be ordered from the >>> Fifties Store website.

Publicity stated
: Right in time for the 50th Anniversary of Elvis Presley's very last show he played in Lake Tahoe on Mother's Day 1976. ReelTrax continues with its high quality products and releases this show for the first time on vinyl and made for the real fan.

As usual these titles are Limited Edition: 200 copies made on black vinyl and on three colors transparent vinyl (yellow, green and blue). This release will also be available as a Deluxe three-panel double CD-set.

‘The Last Show In Lake Tahoe’ is a beautiful deluxe 3-LP set with printed inner-sleeves, containing intensive liner notes, and containing a newly remastered audience recording of the May 9th, 1976 show performance at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel in Lake Tahoe!

Back in 1993 the MAC import record label released this show on CD, using a stunning long-box format, but unfortunately incomplete. Because this set sold out within a few months - being a real collector’s item since then – the well-known quality label Rainbow Records decided to give the very interesting content of the show another chance to be listened by as many fans as possible and released a 2-CD set in 2008, then containing the complete show and in better sound.

One thing seems to be clear: This show is a real must to listen to. Elvis was obviously in a very relaxed mood, not caring at all that the hotel’s management was (still) desperately wanting to force him to do much shorter concerts. In fact Elvis gave the crowd more than they probably expected, being on stage for the longest performance he ever did (a stunning two-hours set), singing, laughing and talking as if he would be together with a couple of friends right at his living room at Graceland!

The recording has now been painstakingly worked on with the newest technology, and ReelTrax is now proud to present a newly remastered version in the best possible sound which reveals details never heard before!

A few words regarding the content. Of course, you will find the track list at the end of this announcement, but we want to point out some real beauties of this set. A rare and unrehearsed version of ‘Return To Sender’ must be mentioned as well as another rarity: ‘Young And Beautiful’. ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’, dedicated to Linda Thompson and sung with passion.

Elvis tells a very funny story about the “Boat Scene” in the movie ‘Blue Hawaii’ and even sings a few lines of his SUN classic ‘Blue Moon of Kentucky’. So all in all there is a lot to discover while listening to Elvis’ not only longest, but also very unusual show!

President Trump finally got to meet the only King the US ever had when he stopped by Graceland following a roundtable meeting with federal, state, and local leaders to discuss the crime-reduction efforts in Memphis.

Graceland's Angie Marchese said: "Its always special when you leave politics at the door and just talk about something everyone can agree upon... ELVIS!!! Very honored and blessed to represent Elvis during such a historic visit."

While at Graceland, Trump got a look at several Elvis artifacts, was invited to sit in the Jungle Room, and was asked to sign a replica of the guitar Elvis played during his 1973 Aloha from Hawaii concert. Wow. That’s an honor,” said Trump. “Ready, everybody? That came out pretty nice.”

Trump also talked about Elvis Presley’s visit to the White House to see then-President Nixon and his politics. “Elvis was not political. I think he was political, but he kept it (to himself),” said President Trump.

When asked by the media about his favorite Elvis song, Trump suggested 'Hurt' but acknowledged that Elvis had many great songs and there were a few he didn’t like.

Trump lamented having never met the superstar. “Who else would be more famous than Elvis?” Trump repeated his admiration for the King of Rock and Roll and his music, saying he was a "big fan," lamenting the fact that he never met him.

"I knew Frank Sinatra. I knew most of them. Unfortunately, I never met Elvis, and that would be one I would have liked a lot. But I do like his music. I will say. Thank you for inviting me, I appreciate it. I don't get tired of his music. I hear a lot".

Ad staff at the estate explained that the singer was also a competent martial artist, having gained two 8th degree black belts in karate, Mr Trump asked the workers if they think he “could have taken” him on in a fight. I don't know? You might,” replied one. “I think he would've been respectful enough to let you win.”

The Presidential Medal of Freedom that Trump posthumously awarded to Presley was on display during the tour. Trump bestowed the honor during his first term in office in 2018.

Before Trump visited Graceland on Monday, it had been 20 years since a sitting U.S. president toured the famous home of the King of Rock and Roll. The last visit occurred in June 2006 when President George W. Bush brought Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi to Graceland.

Note: There is no coverage of this visit on the Graceland website or socials.
