The JAS Records (International) record label released the mid-price CD 'Elvis - At Home in Germany', a rare and intimate portrait of Elvis Presley, captured at home, off duty, and at his most spontaneous.

Publicity stated: JAS Records (International) is  proud to announce the release of Elvis - At Home in Germany, a remarkable collection of private home recordings made during Elvis Presley’s service with the U.S. Army in Germany in 1958 and 1959.

Away from the recording studio and the spotlight, Elvis used a reel-to-reel tape recorder during his off-duty hours to capture informal, spontaneous performances. These intimate recordings offer a unique glimpse of the artist simply singing for pleasure, relaxed, unguarded and completely in the moment.

For Elvis fans and collectors, the historical importance of these tapes is considerable. Among the recordings are some of the earliest known performances of songs Elvis would later record professionally, including “Are You Lonesome Tonight,” “Danny Boy,” “The Fool,” “Soldier Boy” and “There’s No Tomorrow.” The latter would eventually be transformed into the international smash hit “It’s Now or Never.”

Perhaps even more compelling are the songs Elvis never recorded professionally. These rare performances offer listeners the opportunity to hear a side of Elvis that was never captured in a conventional studio session, making this collection an especially fascinating addition to any Elvis library.

Diana Goodman, known best by Elvis fans because she spent some time at his side, announced the late November 2026 release of her biography 'I Was Just Standing There: Diana Goodman the Autobiography' which she co-wrote with Scot Enhland.

September 30 - Come What May

Kendra Steiner Editions announced the October 19, 2026 release of the 190-page book 'Come What May: Selected Writings On Elvis Presley'. 

Description: Twenty essays written and originally published over a 15-year period on the music of Elvis Presley, from the Sun period through his final June 1977 concert, from San Antonio-based Bill Shute, contributor to Ugly Things magazine since 1985.

The book will be available as a hardback and as a pocket-size paperback edition.

Bill Shute contributed to various editions of 'Elvis Day By Day - The Year In Review' yearbooks. In October we will publish an interview with author Bill Shute.

All Shook Up

Elvis' single 'All Shook Up' was certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industries for selling over 400,000 copies (streams plus digital downloads plus physical sales) since its re-release on November 21, 2004. 

This marks Elvis' sixth sales certification of 2026.

An unknown import record label announced the release of the Limited Edition 7-CD-set 'Rare Elvis'.

From Presley To Springsteen

Rutgers University Press announced the May 11, 2027 release of the 106-page book 'From Presley To Springsteen: Ten Songs That Defined Rock And Roll' by Louis P. Masur. 

Publicity stated: The first decades of the Rock and Roll era changed popular music forever and introduced songs that remain beloved standards over a half-century later. September 26 - Elvis For Kids

Cherry Lake Publishing announced the ‏‎January 1, 2027 release of the 24-page children's book 'Elvis Presley' in their 'My Early Library: My Itty-Bitty Bio' series.

September 15 - Elvis 1970: Oakland Coliseum Arena

Maria Columbus published the book 'Elvis 1970: Oakland Coliseum Arena - That's The Way it Was in Oakland' through Elvis Special.

As a long-time Elvis fan, who saw Elvis in concert many times, this is a photographic memoir of one of Elvis’ concerts in 1970. These full color photos show Elvis’ artistry and performance during his concert at the Oakland Coliseum Arena on Tuesday, November 10, 1970. 

This detailed photo memoir traces everything Elvis Presley on that day from the moment Elvis stepped onto the stage to the last sounds of “Elvis Has Left The Building”. Elvis - The King in Hollywood

Polish elvis author Mariusz Ogiegło published his book 'Elvis. Król (w) Hollywood 1956 - 1962' ('Elvis - The King in Hollywood 1956–1962')

Description: "All my life I wanted to be an actor. And although I never even performed in school plays, deep in my heart I always hoped that one day I would get the chance to appear in a film," Elvis Presley said in one interview.

The legendary King of Rock and Roll got his chance to fulfill this dream in 1956, when he was cast in the western 'Love Me Tender' alongside stars of the era's cinema such as Richard Egan and Debra Paget. Although Presley didn't receive the lead role, it was precisely his participation that drew crowds of fans to theaters and secured the production enormous financial success.

Elvis - Blackjack Beat

The double LP / 2-CD-set 'Elvis - Blackjack Beat' featuring the September 1, 1971 Dinner and Midnight Show performances, as recorded in Las Vegas, has been released. It comes on 180 gram purple or black colored vinyl.

Publicity stated: Between the mega-years and before the comeback special lay a period that is far too rarely explored. The 'Clambake - Behind the Scenes' book and vinyl combo appears to have been pushed back to October, despite earlier announcements that the set was "at the printer". The 'A Date With Elvis & For LP Fans Only - Double Features' limited edition vinyl albums were pushed back to November according to the Elvis Files website, while the 'Elvis Gold Rush - Golden Records Vol.1 to 4' four LP / book combo still has "2026 / 2027" as the street date. The two volumes of 'Elvis Presley The Army Years' are still due in "2027".
