Auction
Julien’s Auctions, has announced Property From The Life and Career of Elvis Presley as part of their highly anticipated Music Icons Auction event to be held at the Hard Rock Cafe Times Square, New York on May 16th, 2015.
Collectors and fans will have the opportunity to own a piece of the music icon’s celebrated life, both personal and professional. Amongst the extraordinary is the so-called Elvis Presley TCB Tour Bus. The 1976 MCI Crusader Bus was originally purchased with funds provided by Elvis Presley for his supporting singers and The TCB Band. The bus was custom designed and adorned inside and out with the TCB lightning bolt logo. It has nine sleeping berths, seats twelve and the distinction of being driven by Elvis himself (although this is under discussion). Accompanying the bus are copies of the original $25,000 check provided by Elvis to cover the down payment on the bus. An additional lot contains the original blue prints for the tour bus.
Other highlights of this outstanding collection include: his personal Stutz Blackhawk with the registration in his name and photographs of Elvis getting into the car,Elvis signed Louisiana Hayride Contract, and an Elvis Presley gifted TLC diamond necklace that he gave to his nurse Letetia Henley Kirk.
