Elvis Presley was awarded another Silver Sales Award by the B.P.I. in the UK. This time for the Legacy Release of the "Today" album. It sold over 60,000 copies (streams plus digital downloads plus physical sales) since it's release August 7 2015.
American Sound 1969
The digital "American Sound 1969" album, also due of five CD's from the FTD collectors label next month, has been released. It features over 90 tracks of rare and unreleased material from Elvis' 1969 legendary American Sound Studio sessions, including 'In The Ghetto' and 'Suspicious Minds'.

The song "So Close Yet So Far From Paradise" from the Harum Scarum movie was used for the Walkers Crisps TV Advert in the U.K. It promotes their Monster Munch, Quavers and Wotsits as being “Too Good To Share” and says “Sorry, Kids”.
The ad video shows adults going to great lengths to hide packets of Walkers Crisps from youngsters in their secret ‘Snack Stash’. The ad finishes with the tagline “Must Be Walkers”. As you may well have already guessed from those distinctive vocals, this Walkers Crisps advert song is performed by Elvis. Titled ‘So Close, Yet So Far (From Paradise)’, The King recorded this piece of music as part of the soundtrack to his 1965 film Harum Scarum, which was released here in the UK as Harem Holiday.
