The Washington Times has put together a list of the top movies featuring rock stars, and that includes a box office hit from the King of Rock 'n' Roll! The newspaper lists 1957's "Jailhouse Rock" as a movie that rocks. In the film, Elvis plays an ex-con with a love for music. "The choreographed title number is exceptional," says the newspaper.
Other films on the list include 1984's "Purple Rain" with Prince and 1964's "A Hard Day's Night" with The Beatles.
