An unknown picture of Elvis leaving at the Tupelo Hardware Store on his bikewas sold on eBay. The print of a picture of a 10 (or 11 or 12) year old Elvis outside the Tupelo Hardware Store has sold for $US 361.68. The seller has the right to sell more prints in the future, and the actual negatives are still in private possession too.
The story the seller was told is that Elvis was leaving the drug store in Tupelo circa 1945-1947, as he was leaving a lady that knew Elvis and his family was getting ready to go into the drug store and get a roll of film developed. She saw Elvis and told him to pose for a photo because she had one photo left on the roll and didn't want it to go to waste. She took Elvis' photo and then walked inside, and dropped off the film to be developed...
