Some years ago, RCA released an album "Elvis In Demand". It was a compilation of several Elvis songs released for the British Elvis fanclub. And ofcourse a bootlegger released the songs with some extra songs.
The producers used the latest masters and mixed them just like the original albums according to the press-release. The set is housed in a 3-panel digipack and limited to only 500 copies.

In another tie in with RCA / K-Tel Records the live compilation “The Ultimate Performance” was released in the UK in 1981. This album featured live tracks from the albums “Elvis In Person”, “Elvis Live On Stage At Madison Square Garden”, and “Aloha From Hawaii” edited together to make it sound like one complete concert. The album was TV advertised using clips from the “Aloha” special. Once again it made the album charts, and it became a huge seller.The original album with it’s beautiful painted front sleeve, was never released on CD. Until now!

David Jacobs Dies
The first DJ to play an Elvis Presley Record on the BBC died today.Broadcaster and presenter David Jacobs, whose career spanned seven decades, has died aged 87. Jacobs, who stepped down from his Radio 2 programme last month because of ill health, died at home "surrounded by his family", the BBC said in a statement. He started at the BBC in 1945, hosting shows including Housewives' Choice, Any Questions and on TV What's My Line. In 1959 he hosted a new pop music television programme Juke Box Jury, and was later to be one of the first four DJs to present Top Of The Pops along with Pete Murray, Alan Freeman, and one other - all former Radio Luxembourg DJ.
