October 24 - The Best Of British Volume 2

Contre Dires has announced a new book in French by author Jean-Pierre Danel entitled "Elvis Presley Intime". Due for release November 4, 2013.

Trevor Simpson new book "The Best Of Brittish volume 2" is in the works and should be out around Feb 2014 according to a posting on the FECC forum. This volume will finish off the period ending December 1960. 

For volume 3 the question is if Trevor Simpson should should start in 1961 with just the studio sessions (His Hand In Mine / Something For Everybody / Pot Luck) and leave out the Films? Or should he incorporate the movie recordings and just to continue year by year. Feedback is appreciated and will be reviewed by Trevor Simpson to make a final decision.

Sony To Push New Compilation

Sony UK are getting behind the soon to be released compilation soundtrack that ties in with the ITV1 90 minute TV Special called, 'The Nations Favourite Elvis Song'. The campaign for the album will include:

• £100 Thousand Pound + TV advertising campaign - From 8th – 15th November
• Utilising posters (Rail 6 sheets and ASDA 6 sheets) from the 4th
• Utilising Press ads (The Sun and Express on Sat 9th)
• Organising Press – reviews and features - all being confirmed at the moment.
• Making album available in all supermarkets including BHS plus HMV etc.
• Digital marketing (bingo and gambling plus facebook)

Featuring 60” radio ads on Absolute Radio 60s, Magic 105.4 and Total Smooth Radio from 8th. Having a karaoke roadshow (being announced next week) but going to Blackpool, Birmingham, London and Cardiff.
