Review Elvis UK Compact Vol 2

How do you review volume 2 in a book trilogy when you have already reviewed volume 1 and the original digital flipbook edition, and the conclusion on the quality of the research, encyclopedic presentation, and eye for completeness and detail is that it offers everything collectors (or should I say 'nerds'?) could ever dream of?

If you have read the previous reviews of the original digital flipbook edition and the first softbound physical re-issue, you know exactly what to expect from the Elvis U.K. team.

Design

The design is exactly the same as the first volume, so you get a text-heavy book with plenty of functional illustrations. It is crammed with functional and detailed background information - in part provided by those who were originally involved, and all cross-referenced with other versions - more than a normal person can absorb. So for me, a few more graphical pages would have made this encyclopedia a little more appealing. I would have loved to see some more original advertisements printed full-page, as this book is a trip down memory lane for a fan like me who grew up in the CD era.

This book is volume 2 in a trilogy that covers the years 1983 up to 2005. In this volume, we get all the CDs released between May 1997 and December 2004.

It starts with page 476, so the index presented in volume 1 remains the starting point for this and the upcoming third volume. Duplication of the index would have been helpful when reading just this volume, but I can follow the author's perspective to present this as a trilogy. It does mean that it isn’t a stand-alone book, you need all volumes to enjoy all the functionality of the original digital flipbook.

Content

Reading the book, it is nice to see that the authors treat these silver discs almost the same as they do vinyl releases. But there are differences. Where vinyl releases with variations in text, design, tax code, or pressings are presented as variations, many CDs with small differences are presented as different releases, with their own place in the Elvis CD catalog. So there is a difference in collecting vinyl and CDs according to these authors. In a way I agree, a first pressing of a vinyl or CD release doesn't feel the same.

A good example is the 'Original Elvis Presley Collection' from 1997 that opens the book. The discs in that 50-CD set were sold as a set, but some titles were sold separately (with their own barcode or catalogue number), while others had the same design but contained more tracks. The 'Loving You' CD in the box had 12 tracks, while a later version with the same design contained 20 tracks. Reading all the investigative work by these two experts on the individual discs in this set, it appears that almost none of the discs was released as originally intended.

Another fun observation that illustrates the eye for detail: the authors spotted a different number of "Elvises" on the '50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can’t Be Wrong' CD as released in 1997 and in 2013. Reading the book, you will find many more in-depth observations from these two experts.

And while we fans normally mainly focus on the official catalog, the authors also added the official (mechanical rights paid) CDs released in the United Kingdom. I was surprised to see the Follow That Dream releases (the label started in 1999), as they originate from Denmark and were only released through fan clubs. Does that qualify as an official U.K. release?

And if those releases qualify for a place in the book, I did miss the promotional CDs that were kind of a rage among the Nordic fan clubs in the timeframe of this second volume.

Conclusion

The conclusion for this second volume is the same as for volume 1: this is the definitive record - or "ultimate guide" as the authors stated on the cover - on Elvis U.K. CD releases. I would love to read Ernst Jorgensen’s reaction to this compendium of part of his work, I think that John and Gordon may have uncovered more details on his work than he is aware of.

My personal conclusion, leafing through the book and looking at the CD covers, is that apparently, I am an avid (U.K.) CD collector, as I heard myself thinking, "I have that one" or "I must play that one again; it has been years since I took it off the shelf" over and over again. I didn’t have that insight browsing through the original digital edition.

This illustrates the value of the physical product for me; you take in the content much better. So, John and Gordon, thanks for doing a physical edition, it made me look at some of the CDs in my collection again, while learning a lot reading the background of those albums.

When the third volume will be added, this will be one helluva reference!

The book is available online from the authors' webshop for the reasonable price of 50GBP at the >>> ELVIS UK Books webshop

March 29 - The Black Roots of Elvis Presley

The U.K. based Jasmine Records budget label announced the April 11, 2025 release of the CD ‘The Black Roots of Elvis Presley’.

Publicity stated: Elvis’ original influences have been scrutinised and examined over the decades, and he was always quick to namecheck his main sources and inspirations. Let’s face it, had it not been for Presley, how many of us would have ever heard of Arthur “Big Boy” Crudup?

At the outset of his career there were few suitable original songs being submitted by music publishers, so it was inevitable that he would reach back and revive old favourites. This compilation presents thirty examples, exploring Elvis’ Black music roots and featuring some of the memorable Blues, Gospel, R&B and Doo Wop numbers that he recorded.

Other featured artists include Wynonie Harris, The Clovers, Little Junior Parker, Clyde McPhatter & The Drifters, Roy Hamilton, Lloyd Price, Little Richard, Smiley Lewis, Ivory Joe Hunter, Chuck Willis, The Coasters, and more.

Track CD:That's When Your Heartaches Begin (Billy Bunn & His Buddies) - That's All Right Mama (Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup) - Good Rockin' Tonight (Wynonie Harris) - Fool, Fool, Fool (The Clovers) - Baby Let's Play House (Arthur Gunter) - Mystery Train (Little Junior's Blue Flames) - Tryin' To Get To You (The Eagles) - My Baby Left Me (Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup) - Money Honey (Clyde Mcphatter & The Drifters) - I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Cry Over You (Roy Hamilton) - So Glad You're Mine (Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup) - Lawdy Miss Clawdy (Lloyd Price) - Love Me (Willy & Ruth) - Long Tall Sally (Little Richard) - Too Much (Bernard Hardison) - Rip It Up (Little Richard) - Tell Me Why (Marie Knight) - Peace In The Valley (Flying Clouds Of Detroit) - One Night (Smiley Lewis) - I Need You So (Ivory Joe Hunter) - (Now And Then There's) A Fool Such As I (The Robins) - Like A Baby (Vikki Nelson) - Such A Night (Clyde Mcphatter & The Drifters) - Reconsider Baby (Lowell Fulson) - I Feel So Bad (Chuck Willis) - Girls! Girls! Girls! (The Coasters) - Bossa Nova Baby (Tippy & The Clovers) - Little Egypt (The Coasters) - Love Letters (Ketty Lester) - Rags To Riches (Billy Ward & His Dominoes).

March 29 - Charts March 2025 - Week 5 (Updated)

Elvis Presley's physical sales and digital streams in the U.S. are still not high enough for any title to hit the charts, that leaves us the Official U.K. charts.

In the U.K. his sales make more impact on the charts. On the Official Album chart, the 'ELV1S 30 #1 Hits' selection rose 8 more spots on the chart, climbing to No. 47. The album gained another 4 spots on the nation's Streaming Album chart and climbed to No. 41.

The 'Elvis at the Movies' DVD set re-entered the Music Video chart once again at No. 34.

Despite declining sales in the U.S. Elvis still made it to the No. 1 spot on MSN's "Greatest Musician of All Time" list, with The Beatles at No. 2 and Elvis former 'son-in-law' Michael Jackson at No. 3.

MSN noted: Elvis Presley is often hailed as the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, a title he earned through his unique ability to blend various musical genres, including blues, country, and gospel. His electrifying stage presence and signature dance moves captivated audiences worldwide, making him a cultural icon. Songs like "Hound Dog' and 'Jailhouse Rock' not only topped charts but also defined an era in music history.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) lists Elvis as one of the best-selling solo artists of all time, with over 146.5 million certified units sold in the U.S. alone. His influence on music and pop culture is undeniable, paving the way for future rock artists and remaining a symbol of the genre.

Elvis' charisma and groundbreaking approach to music continue to resonate with fans and artists alike.

The remaining artist in the Top 10 were: 4. Whitney Houston, 5. Freddie Mercury, 6. Bob Dylan, 7. Aretha Franklin, 8. Prince, 9. Beyoncé and 10. Johnny Cash.

March 26 - Piger Piger Piger at Del Webb' Sahara Tahoe Hotel

The Millbranch Music import record label announced the May 23, 2025 release of the LP ‘Del Webb Presents Elvis Presley’ featuring Elvis’ Dinner Show performance as recorded on May 23, 1974 at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel, Nevada.

Publicity stated
: Millbranch Music continues with its high quality vinyl releases, made for the real fan and limited as usual: 200 copies made on black vinyl and on blue transparent vinyl.

Del Webb Presents Elvis Presley is a 2-LP set with printed inner-sleeves containing intensive liner notes, containing the legendary Dinner Show from May 23, 1974 at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel, Nevada!

Working directly from the original Scotch C-120 cassette tape (Side A: The Dinner Show - DD-0012-218 T0059) which was used for the very first release of this show in 1998 on Fort Baxter's CD “And The King For Dessert” gave us a major advantage. We were able to create a brand-new digital transfer that captures far more detail and depth than was ever possible back in the 1990's. Fully remastered for the first time in stunning Digitally Extracted Stereo (DES) means this is not fake stereo - it’s a carefully restored, channel-by-channel remix that enhances clarity, depth, and energy, while staying true to the original sound. Handling the original source is a joy in itself - and you can truly hear the difference.

As we all know, Soundboard recordings were never meant for public release, and many musicians disliked them for that reason. But thanks to today’s technology - and our dedication to preserving Elvis’ live legacy - we’ve transformed this into a vibrant, immersive listening experience.

The show is something special. It is more intimate than Elvis’ Las Vegas performances, it reveals a different side of the King. Elvis is focused on his singing. He’s in strong voice, delivering heartfelt renditions of songs like “Trying to Get to You” and “Help Me”, with a depth and sincerity that shines through in this beautifully restored mix. Unlike the more explosive Midnight Shows, this particular show is intimate, vocally focused, and emotionally rich. The pacing is smooth, the mood is reflective, and moments like “An American Trilogy” hit with quiet power. It’s Elvis the artist - not just the showman - and that makes this performance all the more captivating.

Two rare bonus tracks from May 19, 1974 round out this set — songs that were not regulars during the engagement and make this release even more special.

Tracks side A: See See Rider / I Got A Woman – Amen / Love Me / Trying To Get To You / All Shook Up / Love Me Tender / You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me.

Side B: Hound Dog / Fever /Polk Salad Annie / Why Me Lord / Suspicious Minds / Introductions.

Side C: I Can’t Stop Loving You / Help Me / An American Trilogy / Let Me Be There (Incomplete) / Funny How Time Slips Away (Incomplete – with reprise) / Big Boss Man.

Side D: It’s Now Or Never / Can’t Help Falling In Love - Closing Vamp
Bonus tracks: Steamroller Blues (May 19, 1974 - Dinner Show) / How Great Thou Art (May 19, 1974 – Dinner Show).

You can pre-order the LP from the >>> Bennies Fifties webshop

Piger! Piger! Piger

The Memphis Mansion released their updated reproduction of the Danish version of Elvis' 'Girls! Girls! Girls!' soundtrack album, titled 'Piger! Piger! Piger'.

Publicity stated: The King of Rock 'n' Roll is back - and now in Remixed Stereo! Elvis Presley's beloved soundtrack to the 1962 film 'Girls! Girls! Girls!' gets new life in a spectacular reissue that will be released in April 2025 on pink vinyl with red splatter - now in a Danish version.

The legendary soundtrack, which includes hits like 'Return to Sender' and 'Girls! Girls! Girls!', has been meticulously remixed for True Stereo by Anthony Stuchbury.

With respect for the original recordings, a completely new listening experience has been created that brings out Elvis' timeless voice and the musicians' virtuoso playing in previously unheard clarity. He also corrected the backing vocal placement on the song ‘We’ll Be Together”. If you have ever listened closely to the stereo album you may have noticed they’re on the left channel, but on the right channel on every other tune on the album.

Søren Karstensen's updated artwork pays homage to the film's original aesthetic while adding a modern twist that perfectly matches this renewed version of a classic.

The pink vinyl with red splatter is not just a visual treat - it's a collector's item that pays tribute to both Elvis' musical legacy and the film's colorful universe. With an edition of only 300, numbered, worldwide, this is a must-have for Elvis fans and vinyl enthusiasts alike.

The record also comes with a replica of the Danish film poster for 'Girls! Girls! Girls!', carefully recreated with respect for the smallest detail. If you do not want this, the record is also sold at a slightly reduced price.

You can order the album from the >>> Memphis Mansion webshop.

Side A: Girls! Girls! Girls! / I Don't Wanna Be Tied / Where Do You Come From / I Don't Want To / We'll Be Together / A Boy Like Me, A Girl Like You / Earth Boy.

Side B: Return To Sender / Because Of Love / Thanks To The Rolling Sea / Song Of The Shrimp  / The Walls have Ears / We're Coming In Loaded.

March 25 - Elvis UK Compact 2 Unboxing

Ahead of the review of the newly released 'Elvis UK Compact Vol.2' book, here is a nice unboxing video from Sean at 'Sincerely Elvis Presley' YouTube channel.

Publicity stated: 'Elvis UK Compact Volume 2' is the second volume of this major series of books (comprising three soft-backed print volumes) continuis the story from where the already successful and widely acclaimed Volume 1 left off.

Volume 2 opens with CD 170 and concludes with CD 422. As with Volume 1, apart from minor changes to the layout and revised cover artwork, the print copy edition will contain exactly the same content as the downloadable, digital flip book version (entitled Elvis UK3 The Ultimate Guide To Elvis Presley’s British CD Releases 1983-2005), first issued in early 2021.  Nothing has been added; nothing omitted.

This trilogy of books represents the first major attempt by anyone to chronicle in exhaustive and painstaking detail the rise of Elvis’s compact disc releases from 1983 onwards – cross-referenced, where relevant, with vinyl versions. And while focused on UK releases, there is a huge amount of overlap with other territories – especially Europe - which makes it of major interest to Elvis collectors throughout the world.

On buying the three volumes, each buyer will receive a complimentary copy of the 23-track CD entitled Beyond The Legend, completely free of charge.

Priced at £50 (which, for U.K. collectors, includes p&p costs) this book will only be available to buy via the website >>> Elvis Books U.K.

Please note that the stock levels on some of the other volumes in the Elvis UK series are now running low.

Tony Brown inducted to the Country Music Hall of Fame

Elvis' former keyboard player and record producer Tony Brown was inducted into the  Country Music Hall of Fame in the non-performer category during the 2025 inductee announcement ceremony at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee.

Throughout his over 50-year country music career, Brown played keys for J.D. Sumner and The Stamps Quartet and The Oak Ridge Boys, later joining Elvis Presley’s band until his death in 1977. After his time on the road, Brown joined RCA Records and worked as an A&R representative in Los Angeles, where he signed Alabama.

Brown has produced iconic records by George Strait, Vince Gill, Reba McEntire, Wynonna Judd, Steve Earle, Nanci Griffith, Lyle Lovett and many more.

Congratulations to Tony Brown, former Elvis sideman and music row legend!

Tony Brown posted on Facebook: "I am beyond grateful to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum alongside Kenny Chesney and June Carter Cash. This honor is greater than any award, any accolade, it’s truly priceless. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey!"

June Carter Cash, who toured with Elvis in the early days of his career, was inducted into the Veterans Era category. This induction was long overdue.

March 20 - Elvis Presley Autograph Guide

Garry Gomersall published the first 54-page book in his new 'Elvis Presley Collectors Series' titled 'Elvis Presley Autograph Guide'.

Publicity stated
: This is the first in a series of books on the life and career of Elvis Presley. The original version of this autograph authentication guide was first published on my website www.ElvisToday.com in 2008 and proved to be one of the more popular blog pages. Following numerous requests for updates, I've extended the article to include more details and images of genuine and authenticated examples for comparison purposes.

Given the clear risk to fans and investors alike, I've decided to pass on the following guidance to help you in authenticating an Elvis Presley signature. This is based upon my own extensive experience and research conducted over decades of collecting. I'll use exemplars from my own personal collection, including some rarely seen important documents and personal items from Elvis's own collection as auctioned by Lisa Marie Presley and the Estate during the Guernsey's auction at the MGM Grand, Las Veges in 1999.

For cross-reference purposes, I'll also share samples that I can personally authenticate as being genuine; and will include some important examples of Elvis' handwriting - from my own private collection - and from documents already in the public domain e.g. on Elvis's Military documentation, on his Last Will And Testament, and famously in the handwritten letter to President Nixon in 1971 as publish by the FBI archives a few years ago.

March 19 - Elvis and the Boys

Following small teasers in late 2024, David Stanley, Elvis' former stepbrother, announced a new film project on Facebook.

"Billy, Myself and Ricky lived a life with our brother Elvis that fans from around the world can only dream of.  We lived the history firsthand. Before Priscilla and Lisa, before all the girl friends who came and went and through ups and downs that was Elvis’s life, we stood by Elvis our beloved Brother.

Today Vernon and Elvis are gone, Ricky has passed and most of the so called Memphis Mafia are also dead.

Billy is 72 and I’ll be 70 in August.  After much consideration and much prayer Billy and I have decided to pull all our resources and memories together to do a major motion picture project. The true and untold story of Billy, Ricky, and David Stanley, 'Elvis and the Boys'."

March 17 - From Florida To Hawaii To Japan

Following hot on the heels of the sold out 'Presley - The Essential 50's Masters', the French RDM-Edition record label announced the release of the new 'Mono II Stereo'CD titled 'From Florida To Hawaii'.

Publicity stated: This new album features newly created Stereo mixes of the 'Follow That Dream' Mono Masters in a mix that will match the sound of the Stereo Out-takes we know.

Added to those soundtrack songs, are newly mixed Stereo Versions of the 'Girls!, Girls!, Girls!' album remixed to give a more authentic and immersive Stereo listening experience.

In the original RCA mix all the instruments were left channel, Elvis middle and only The Jordanaires right channel. Songs like 'Return To Sender' always sounded very week in the original stereo mix. This has at last been rectified. With the rhythm section blasting the track along from the centre, everything sounds so much better.

Collectors note: ‘Dainty Little Moonbeams ‘is previously unreleased in this form. Every official release has an edited movie version that doesn’t include the female harmony on this song. The original track was kindly supplied by Keith Flynn, from a private collection.

Check out the trailer (watch it in full-screen Hi-Fi :-))

Love Me Tender

The V.P.I. record label announced the May 9, 2025 re-issue of the Japanese 'Love Me Tender' EP on colored vinyl.

Originally released in 1957 by Victor in Japan, this record is one of the rarest 10-inch LPs ever produced, highly sought after by collectors worldwide. This new edition, limited to 1,000 copies, retains all the elegance of the original while adding an extra touch of exclusivity: a Double Split Vinyl in transparent red and silver, offering a unique and refined presentation.
Side A: Love Me Tender / Let Me / Poor Boy / We're Gonna Move.

Side B: Don't Be Cruel / I'll Never Let You Go (Little Darlin') / Hound Dog / I Want You, I Need You, I Love You

Review October - November 1958

Graphic Elvis Presley biographer Paul Belard had a strong start in 2025.
Following the release of his biography on Marion Keisker, he published no less than 3 books in the first 2 months of the year, covering the first months of Elvis’ serving Uncle Sam in Germany: 'October 1958' Volume 1 and 2, and 'Elvis 1958 November'.

Design

All 3 books follow the ca. 220-page letter-sized format we have become accustomed to. The books present Elvis’ whereabouts for the aforementioned period in pictures with additional text to provide the necessary background and context.

The chronological “day-by-day” layout makes it easy to browse through this book and absorb the content in images and text. The pictures and additional paperwork that illustrate and support the events are primarily presented in black and white, with some additional color(ized) pictures.

The downside is that this is reflected in the quality of the photographs presented on the 660 pages of these 3 books in front of me, as I would not have chosen to publish them all. Trying to be “99 percent complete” has its drawbacks, and is a "mission impossible" as new material will always pop up, even after all these years. But Belard comes close, I think.

Content

In these books, Paul Belard offers a complete-as-possible account of the period at hand. He compiles the books using material from his own collection with additional original, online, and public sources, and a lot of research and puzzling to complete the story for each book. Using primarily original sources (all credited for further reading), we read how it was reported by the press and experienced by the fans 70 years ago. That’s what makes these books an interesting read.

Working like this, the books have two sides. First, the series offers the most complete graphical timeline available, but readers - especially those focused on the visual element of these graphic biographies - will scratch their heads every now and then looking at some of the photographs. Personally, I would have skipped circa 20% of the images, as the quality is too low to use, and making them smaller won’t add to the reading experience.

The two October volumes could perhaps have been combined into one book, with fewer or smaller printed pictures, but this is a decision from the author.

With that said, what do we get in these 3 volumes? The month of October 1958 is split over 2 volumes, with the first volume opening with the USS Randall docking at Bremerhaven in Germany on October 1st, 1958. What follows on the 220 pages is the media circus that surrounded Elvis’ first steps as a U.S. G.I. on German soil, and enthusiastic fans adding to the frenzy.

We all know the image of Helge Rothenberg, who managed to slip through security, climb the gangway, and try to get Elvis’ autograph even before he was able to set one foot on German soil … this probably wasn’t the script as outlined by the communication department of the U.S. Army. But it was probably good to see how “welcome” Elvis was on this side of the Atlantic.

We see every step Elvis took, from the boat to the train, to the press conference, and to the Ray Barracks, where he was stationed as part of Company “D” 1st Battalion of the 32nd Armor Division. Everything he did to get settled and start those first days was photographed and reported by various professional and fan cameras, and thanks to Belard, we get to see it in the right sequence and from all perspectives. This volume covers less than a handful of days.

When all of his duties were completed, Elvis was granted a three-day leave, and he used that time to join his father and other family and U.S. friends at the Ritters Park Hotel in Bad Homburg.

Two-thirds of October 1958 Volume 2 are dedicated to his visit to that city and the start of a new romance he found there, according to the eager press. If you have visited the city, like I have, this book offers a lot of recognizable spots, which makes it a fun read. If you haven’t visited this little town, the books will serve as a source of information to identify the Elvis spots if you want to “walk a mile in his shoes.”

The remainder of the book covers Elvis’ first month on the base, getting settled in Hotel Grunewald in Bad Nauheim, and some trips he made in his spare time, including a nice meet-up with fellow rock-and-roll pioneer Bill Haley in Frankfurt.

Elvis spent the month of November 1958 at the U.S. training area in Grafenwöhr, in Eastern Bavaria near the Czech border, for winter maneuvers.

You have to remember that this was only 13 years after World War II, and the Iron Curtain - the political and later physical boundary dividing Europe into two separate areas - was still up, with soldiers in arms on both sides. So I was surprised to see so many photographs from his time away.

The letters to Master Sergeant Norwood in Texas, Anita Wood, and his friend Alan “Hog Ears” Fortas add a nice personal insight. To Fortas, he writes: “We are up on a Training Area for 50 days and believe me it’s miserable. It’s so cold and there is nothing at all to do up here.”

The month ends well for Private Presley, as he was promoted to Private First Class at the end of the month.

Conclusion

With these three volumes, Paul Belard added some interesting and well-researched reads to the graphic Elvis Presley timeline, almost completing the Army Years. With a trip to Germany coming up, the timing of the release couldn’t be better!

March 15 - I Never Stand In Your Way When You're Coming Home

Released by the Flaming Star fan club are the previously announced 45 RPM EP 'I'll Never Stand In Your Way' (September 2024) and the double LP 'Coming Home'.

Publicity for the EP stated
: 'I'll Never Stand In Your Way' holds a special place in the early history of Elvis Presley. The story of how Elvis came to record this song begins in January 1954, before he became a household name.

In early 1954, Elvis walked back into the Memphis Recording Service, SUN's recording studio. He was eager to record again, hoping to get Sam Philips' attention and prove that he had what it took to make it into the music business. During this session, Elvis recorded two songs: 'I'll Never Stand In Your Way' and 'It Wouldn't Be The Same Without You'. Both songs were popular country songs at the time, showing Elvis' early leaning toward the genre.

'I'll Never Stand In Your Way' wasn't the breakout hit Elvis was looking for, but it was part of the journey that led him to to find his voice, blending country, blues and rockabilly. The song itself resurfaced many years later on early Elvis compilations, giving fans a glimpse into the raw beginnings of a future legend. It remains a testament to his passion and perseverance in the early stages of his career.

The EP is available on black, and on yellow colored vinyl.

Elvis UK - Compact Vol. 2

Following on from the acclaimed first volume in the 'The Ultimate Guide To Elvis Presley’s British CD Releases 1983-2005' series, the second soft-backed print re-issue of this previously released digibook (2020) has been released by authors John Townson and Gordon Minto. Meanwhile, the authors also announced that Volume 3 - which completes the trilogy - will shouldn't be too long behind.

March 15 - Charts March 2025 - Week 3

Two weeks ago Elvis retuned to the U.S. Billboard charts after dropping off completely the week before. Unfortunately, our man could not hang on to last week's position on the country's best selling Country Album list and we're back where we were three weeks ago. Bu there is surprising news from the U.K.

Here are the rankings for the third week of March 2025.

Official U.K. charts:

On the Official Album chart, the 'ELV1S 30 #1 Hits' dropped 2 spots, from No 57 to No. 59 while the collection lost 3 spots on the Streaming Album chart and dropped to No. 48 this week

The DVD 'Elvis The King of Rock and Roll' dropped off the Music Video chart after last wek's re-entry at No. 29, only to be replaced by the '68 Comeback Special' which made a surprise return to the chart at No. 50.

U.S. Billboard charts

The 'ELV1S: 30 #1 Hits' compilation dropped over 15 places on the U.S., Billboard Top Country Albums Top 50 chart, which means the album fell off the chart from last week's No. 35 spot.
