August 09 - Charts August 2025 - Week 2 (Updated)

The release of the new 'Sunset Boulevard' was nicely in line with Elvis Week 2025, but Elvis still didn't register enough sales to make an appearance on the U.S. Billboard charts. Perhaps the album will hit the charts next week, as there always is a little delay when it comes to the period sales are calculated for chart placement.

But on the other side of the Atlantic, in Europe, the set entered the charts in various countries, even hitting the Top 10 in various countries.

Presley’s newly-released 'Sunset Boulevard' box set launches on five rankings in the U.K., and it became a Top 10 bestseller on two of them.

The 'Sunset Boulevard' 5-CD-set made its chart debut on the Official U.K. Album chart at No. 67 this week. It raised his career total to 139 placements on the 100-spot list of the most consumed albums in the nation.

The 'ELV1S 30 #1 Hits' album gained 16 spots and climbed to No. 60 on that chart. On the nation's Streaming chart, the latter compilation climbed five places to No. 54.

The 'Sunset Boulevard' set also entered the Album Sales and Physical album charts at No. 5, the Album Chart Update chart at No. 13 and the Album Download chart at No. 25, Presley’s sixteenth hit on the downloads tally

The set nearly cracked the Top 10 on the Official Vinyl Albums chart, but it misses out on reaching the tier by just one space. As it opened at No. 11, the project becomes Presley’s milestone twentieth entry on the format-specific roster.

The set gave Presley his ninth Top 10 win and thirty-seventh total placement on the Official Album Sales chart, which ranks the bestselling projects in the U.K. regardless of genre or format. He has fared even better on the list that tracks only physical products such as CDs, cassettes, and vinyl. Sunset Boulevard earns him an eighteenth Top 10 on that tall, twice as many as on the sales-based ranking, and marks his sixty-eighth overall appearance.

The 'Elvis - The King of Rock and Roll' DVD climbed a staggering 20 places on the U.K. Music Video chart, from No. 49 to No. 29.

On the Scottish Album chart, 'Sunset Boulevard' entered the chart at No. 5!

Here are the chart positions for other  harts from continental Europe.

In Switzerland, 'Sunset Boulevard' entered the Album chart in the Top 10 too, debuting at No. 9.

On the Austrian Album chart the 'Sunset Boulevard' debuted at No. 14.

On the Dutch Album Top 100 chart, 'Sunset Boulevard' debuted at No. 18 while it entered the Vinyl 33 chart at No. 26.

On the German Album Top 100 chart, 'Sunset Boulevard' debuted at No. 17.

On the Belgian Ultratop Album Top 200 the 'Sunset Boulevard' album debuted at No. 22 Flanders part of the Country and at No. 48 in the French speaking Wallonian part of Belgium.

In Ireland, 'Sunset Boulevard' debuted at No. 86 on the Irish IRMA Album charts.

On the Spanish Album chart, 'Sunset Boulevard' debuted at No. 89 while the album entered the Vinyl Album chart at No. 19.

In France 'Sunset Boulevard' entered the Top Album chart at No. 170.

On the International iTunes Chart the album peaked at number 33. For an artist, who was gone for almost half a century, these results were not bad at all. Especially when considering, that 'Sunset Boulevard' wasn't accompanied by any noteworthy promotional campaign or included any widely known Presley tracks except "Burning Love".
