August 20 - More Music on Vinyl and CD

A month ahead of the release, the French RDM-Edition record label added the audio-previews of their upcoming CD and 10-inch vinyl editions of the 'King Creole' soundtrack. Audio engineer Anthony Stuchbury posted previews of the artwork for the set.

Description: While the recent 4 CD box 'Presley - The Essential '50's Masters' has received positive reviews, it were the 'King Creole' recordings that received particular praise. The soundtrack from Elvis's fourth film has been one of the fans' favorites for many years.

Consequently, requests for a vinyl version featuring the new stereo mixes from the 'Presley' box set began to circulate. We wanted to offer fans who had already purchased the 'Presley' box set a totally "new" listening experience, and that's why the songs are presented here exactly as they are heard in the film, with the Movie Versions of  'Turtles, Berries and Gumbo - King Creole Instrumental - Crawfish', 'Steadfast, Loyal and True', 'Lover Doll', 'New Orleans' and 'King Creole'. All other songs are newly created Stereo Record Masters.

This vinyl is available in a Limited Edition of 200 copies. A CD version is also available in digisleeve, with 5 additional tracks and a slightly different cover from the vinyl.

Go to the RDM-Edition webshop for the >>> vinyl edition or for the >>> CD edition. On the record label's website you can also listen to previews of all the songs.

More Music on Vinyl

The Music on Vinyl record label announced the second batch of their 15 titles re-issue program which "will surely make any Elvis fans’ heart skip a beat" according to the press release. The new titles are 'From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee', 'That’s The Way It Is' and 'Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite', these titles have October 3, 2025 as the street-date.

'From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee' was recorded at the King’s home studio and turned out to be the penultimate studio recording before tragically passing away way too early, in 1977.

This title will be available as a Music on Vinyl webshop Exclusive Edition on purple and red marbled vinyl, and as a standard edition on orange colored vinyl.

Just a few months after the release of 'That’s The Way It Is'. Elvis would start his long-standing gig at The International Hotel, marking the start of his much-mythologized Vegas period and cementing his 1968 comeback. This title will be available as a Music on Vinyl webshop exclusive edition on red and silver marbled vinyl, and as a standard edition on red colored vinyl.

Finishing off this trio is maybe his most ambitious record: the 4-LP legacy edition of 'Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite'. The concert recording is featured on the first two discs and the two additional records contain a newly mixed version of the dress rehearsals for the show plus five unreleased bonus tracks.

To top it off, a 24-page booklet with liner notes and photos is included. This title will be available as a Music On Vinyl webshop Exclusive Edition on blue, white and black marbled vinyl, and as a standard edition on yellow colored vinyl.

Details  'From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee': A year before his tragic death, Elvis Presley recorded a few songs in the recording studio set up in his famous Graceland mansion. In the end, ten songs made it on this record which would turn out to be the second to last studio recording he would make before tragically passing away way too early in 1977.

It became Presley's fourth album to reach #1 on the Billboard country music album sales chart in four years and includes “Hurt”, a top 10 hit on both the country and adult contemporary charts. On October 10 1977 the album was certified Gold by the RIAA after surpassing 500.000 in sales.

'From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee' is now available as a limited edition of 500 individually numbered copies on 180 gram audiophile purple marbled vinyl and as a  Limited edition of 2,000 individually numbered copies on 180 gram audiophile orange colored vinyl, housed in a Deluxe sleeve with linen laminate finish

Details 'That’s The Way It Is is': Elvis Presley’s 12th studio album, consists of eight studio tracks recorded at the RCA studios in Nashville and four songs performed live at The International Hotel in Las Vegas. It accompanied the theatrical release of the eponymous documentary film, although it is not generally considered a soundtrack album. Just a few months after the release of the record Elvis would start his long-standing gig at The International Hotel, marking the start of his much-mythologized Vegas period which his lush jumpsuits symbolized. While he would record much more great songs after this, it’s with this album that he was able to capitalize on his 1968 comeback.

'That’s The Way It Is' is available as a limited edition of 500 individually numbered copies on 180 gram audiophile red and silver marbled vinyl and as a limited edition of 2000 individually numbered copies on 180 gram audiophile red vinyl, housed in a Deluxe sleeve with linen laminate finish

Details 'Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite: This new edition is a 4LP set consisting of the famed 1973 TV broadcast of Elvis Presley's legendary performance on the tropical island which represented yet another major landmark in his remarkable career. In keeping with the original 2LP issue, the concert recording is featured on the first two discs.

Now here's the VIP part of the program: the two additional records contain a newly mixed version of the dress rehearsals for the show + 5 unreleased bonus tracks. In total, the package contains no less than 51 all-time favourites including "Burning Love", "Steamroller Blues", and "An American Trilogy". The five bonus tracks were specially recorded for the extended U.S. TV version of the Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite show.

Accompanied by new liner notes, never seen before pictures, and fully remastered audio, we guarantee you'll experience the legacy edition of this 5x multi-platinum live album as if you were sitting on the front row. Remember: 1.5 billion Elvis fans worldwide can’t be wrong!

Three King's Bridge

The Interstate 55 bridge over the Mississippi River now carries a name that pays tribute to three cultural icons who shaped history: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.B.B. King, and Elvis PresleyThe Tennessee Department of Transportation and the Arkansas Department of Transportation announced that the bridge will officially be known as Kings’ Crossing. The name recognizes each of these legendary figures’ impact on music, civil rights, and culture.

“Kings’ Crossing is more than just a piece of infrastructure; it is a symbol of our collective history, heritage, and the enduring spirit of unity that defines this region,” Commissioner Will Reid said in the release. “Naming this bridge in honor of these gentlemen pays tribute to their extraordinary legacies – individuals who transcended barriers, fostered cultural exchange, and used their talents to build bridges between people.”

As a new landmark along the Mississippi River, Kings’ Crossing will stand as a reminder of the legacies of three transformative figures, each forever connected to Memphis. Construction is expected to start in fiscal year 2026, according to the statement.
