We Waren Erbij

The release of the Dutch book 'We Waren Erbij' ('we Were there') by Erik van den Berg has been pushed back to December 12, 2025. 

Publicity stated: A unique and personal photo book about the Dutch Elvis fans who traveled to America in the 1970s to see their idol live. Their motto: "If Elvis won't come to us, we'll go to Elvis."

In the book you'll find more than 400 never-before-published travel photos, over 150 personal documents and letters, 70 rare photographs from Elvis' very last two concerts and of course anecdotes, memories and stories from the fans who were there 

A visual time capsule that takes you to Las Vegas, Nashville, Tupelo and Memphis before Graceland became a museum. For fans, about fans, by a fan.

The Belgian / Dutch Elvis Presley fan-club ElvisMatters will add a DVD for buyers who buy the book in their webshop. 

Description: the DVD 'We're From Europe And Going To See Elvis' is a 36-minute mini-documentary features never-before-seen 8mm footage of a group of European fans who traveled to America in the summer of 1973 to see Elvis perform live in Las Vegas. 

The film features unique private recordings from Memphis and Vegas, offering a rare glimpse into how these fans lived their dream—in color, full of emotion, and straight from the 1970s.

The DVD perfectly complements Erik van den Berg's book, which recounts the adventures of these fans and is richly filled with photos, letters, and documents from the same period

Burton on Stage
