Top 10 Most Dangerous Autographs

Forgeries of well-known entertainment, sports and historical figures -- such as Elvis Presley, the Beatles & John F. Kennedy-- top the year's "Most Dangerous Autographs" lists compiled by experts at PSA/DNA Authentication Services of Santa Ana, California, the world's largest autograph authentication company.

Buyers beware:
Many purported Elvis Presley signatures should be marked "return to sender." Over half of the signatures of some historical and entertainment figures submitted in 2010 to PSA/DNA Authentication Services of Santa Ana, California were judged to be fakes Elvis Presley topped the PSA/DNA list of "the most dangerous autographs" of the year.

"This past year, our experts reviewed over 200,000 autographs submitted by collectors and dealers worldwide. PSA/DNA does not often receive obvious forgeries, so if our rejection rate for a particular autograph, such as Elvis Presley, approaches or exceeds 50 percent, you can only imagine how high that percentage might be in the overall marketplace," Orlando  cautioned.

Tunzi's Christmas Top 5

Elvis Presly author and publisher Joseph Tunzi listed his Top 5 Elvis Christmas songs on the Comet website:

Everyone needs a little Elvis for the holidays. To bring our readers a little rock ‘n’ roll yuletide cheer, Elvis historian and author Joseph Tunzi offers The Comet his Top 5 Christmas Songs by the King.

5. “Holly Leaves and Christmas Trees” (written Bobby “Red” West, Glen Spreen)—A song that wouldn’t be as identifiable as “Blue Christmas,” “Holly Leaves” evokes sadness and brings a tear to the eye, with Elvis singing, Home’s the place that I don’t know.

4. “Merry Christmas Baby” (written by Lou Baxter, Johnny Moore)—An Elvis classic, Presley recorded this bluesy Christmas song in just one take. The track, recorded in 1971, is a true jam at over seven minutes long.

3. “Blue Christmas” (written by Billy Hayes and Jay Johnson)—Probably the most recognizable Elvis Presley Christmas song and his biggest seller to date, recorded in 1957.

2. “If Every Day Was Like Christmas” (written by Bobby “Red” West)—A song recorded in 1966 that was released as Presley’s new seasonal single. It’s a touching holiday song with a message of peace and love, Why can’t every day be like Christmas.

1. “Santa Claus Is Back in Town” (written by Jerry Leiber, Mike Stoller)—This was the King’s personal favorite and it’s mine, too. It’s a raunchy blues number, where Elvis doesn’t use a sleigh but drives in a big, black cadillac and will come down your chimney tonight. The best from the best.
