Elvis Presley could be set to be crowned king of the album charts 40 years after his death. His new album If I Can Dream, pairing 14 of the singer's classic tracks with new musical arrangements by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and duets with Michael Buble and Il Volo, has edged ahead of closest rival Rod Stewart and his album Another Country by 7,000 sales.
If Elvis maintains the number one position until the end of the week, it will be his 12th chart-topping album in the UK - released as part of the celebrations for what would have been The King's 80th birthday year.
