Forbes noted: Elvis Presley Appears On Three Billboard Charts This Week…And He’s Climbing On All Of Them

Elvis Presley was the king of the charts back in his day. Nearly half a century after his death, the rocker doesn’t rule like he used to, but he is still finding a way to climb on not just one ranking or two, but every list his music can be found on.
This week, Presley appears on three Billboard charts. He carves out space on all of them with the same collection, which has proved to be the most popular greatest hits set from the prolific musician in some time. This frame, that title, Elv1s: 30 #1 Hits, is on the rise on all the lists it’s present on.
In the past tracking week, Elv1s: 30 #1 Hitsshifted 8,813 equivalent units. That number comes from Luminate, the company that collects all consumption data in the U.S. and delivers it to Billboard so it can compile the weekly charts.

That small increase in consumption from the week before–the title is up just 0.1%—was enough to push Elv1s: 30 #1 Hits up the Billboard 200. On the list of the most-consumed albums in the U.S., Presley’s compilation jumps from No. 177 to No. 169.
On the genre-specific lists, the title is still improving, but only by a few spaces. This week on the latest edition of the Top Rock & Alternative Albums tally, Elv1s: 30 #1 Hitspushes from No. 45 to No. 42.
Over on the Top Country Albums roster, Elv1s: 30 #1 Hits sits higher, though its surge is much more muted. Presley lands at No. 31 on the ranking of the most-consumed country full-lengths in the U.S. The King lifts just one rung this time around.

The 8,813 units that Presley’s collection shifted are made up almost entirely of streaming equivalent album units. Elv1s: 30 #1 Hits only sold 630 copies in the same timeframe. That means that less than 10% of all those units are sales.
