The Number One Essentials budget record label announced the October 24, 2025 re-issue of Elvis debut album.
Publicity stated: Elvis' debut LP, titled Elvis Presley, was the first rock album to reach number one on the charts. Intriguingly, his first long play demonstrates that RCA had no idea what to do with the singer, even though it had paid what was then a king's ransom to buy his contract from Sam Phillips' Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee. Despite the different styles, the producers were consistent in keeping Presley's voice way out front in the musical mix. They may not have known Presley's exact musical direction, but they knew the value of his voice. The album features the original tracklisting with eight bonus tracks.
