Charlie Daniels DiedCountry music star Charlie Daniels, best known for 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia,' has died at 83. Elvis Presley recorded ‘It Hurts Me’ which Daniels co-wrote with Bob Johnston, who used Bob's wife's name, Joy Byers.
The song was the B-side to 'Kissin' Cousins' and became a minor hit on its own. The song was also featured in Elvis' 1968 Comeback Special.
