The Mississippi Country Music Trail dedicated a marker to Elvis Presley on Thursday in Tupelo.
Elvis Aaron Presley was born Jan. 8, 1935, in Tupelo, Miss. He died at Graceland in Memphis on Aug. 16, 1977. The maker was dedicated at 3 p.m. at the Elvis Presley Birthplace Museum. Appearing on the country charts over 50 times, Presley’s music pushed traditional country towards the modernizing. Tupelo is already home to a Mississippi Blues Trail marker in Presley’s honor.

This week 'An Afternoon In The Garden' drops from #131 to #150 (w/e June 11th) on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and also drops from #15 to #22 on the Billboard Catalog Album Chart.

Two new fan club magazines were released through U.K. fan clubs.
The Official Elvis Presley Fan Club EPFC magazine published the June/July edition containing part 2 of the 70’s masters series, a closer look on the meeting with the Fab 4, and an overview of DVDs, among others.
Also from the U.K. comes the fan's favorite magazine 'The Man And His Music' volume 92 containing Nick Adams - In His Own Words, Sheet Music Around The World, Mae Boren Axton - Vintage Interview, Brought To Light - The '60s Uncovered, Readers' Letters and the CD and Book Reviews.
French Magazine
The French Elvis My happiness fan club released volume 76 of their self-titled magazine, the June 2011 edition, containing articles on The Memphis Grizzlies, 1971, Elvis In France, Elvis Remembers Pearl Harbour, and more.
