Eleven candid shots of Elvis on the set of the 1963 movie 'Viva Las Vegas
', all taken outside the Flamingo Hotel, sold for 6,300.00 $US.
The pictures were taken by John Dessell, at that time Chief of Security at the Last Frontier Casino. Mr. Dessell passed away in the early 70's and his pictures remained in a drawer until last week, when they were offered for sale on eBay with a minimum bid of 19 $US. Two weeks later the pictures reappeared on eBay since the bidder didn't pay.
