Authors and publishers John Townson and Gordon Minto announced the release of 'Elvis UK - 331/3 r.p.m. Volume 1 - The ultimate Guide To Elvis Presly's British LPs 1956 - 1962' later this year.
Publicity stated: Our latest series of books will be devoted entirely to Elvis’ HMV and RCA UK LP album releases from 1956 through to 2005 and, as we did when dealing with the UK EPs in the 500-page 'Elvis UK Extended' a couple of years ago, it will be an exhaustive and detailed look at every RCA UK album, offering as much background information as possible about each release and cross-referencing it with later versions of the albums. And, for the die-hard collectors, we will include every known label and sleeve variation for each release!
The first volume in this series of five books focuses on the releases between 1956 and 1962 and we plan to have this available by the middle of the year. Subsequent volumes will be released at regular intervals thereafter.
Note: The authors covered all the non-RCA LP album releases in 'Elvis UK Beyond RCA' in 2023.
