April 26 - Dick Matena Died

Dutch graphic artist Dick Matena died. He was 83. 

Matena created the comic 'Heartbreak Hotel' which was published in Heavy Metal Magazine #43 (October 1980, the cover was done by another graphic artist). 

He also wrote the book 'Mythen' ('Myths') in 1984, featuring Elvis on the cover with short portraits of famous people inside.

For the Dutch It's Elvis Time fan club he created the comic 'The Angel of Death', a fantasy story of a meeting between Elvis and hank Williams. It was published in 2018, issue 286.

Liquid Vinyl Box

The German TCB-Shop released a Limited Liquid Vinyl Edition of 50 copies of the Memphis Recording Service LP 'South Bend Indiana'. The two LPs come filled with green and with red colored fluid with three dragons "floating" through it. The dragons are a tribute to the suit Elvis wore. 

The albums are housed in an special box with it's own design and a T-shirt featuring the sam design as a bonus.
