Streams Of Old Favorites Spike During Pandemic
When it comes to music, Americans are feeling a bit nostalgic during the coronavirus pandemic. During the first week of April, Spotify says there was a 54% increase in nostalgia-themed playlists, with songs from the 1950s seeing the biggest increase in streams compared to the first week of March. Elvis Presley's 1957 hit “Jailhouse Rock” was the most-added song from that decade.
