Spanish author Rubén Olivares Rosell announced the release of his 7th book, 'Elvis En Espagne - Una Mirada Critica - 1970-1990 Volumen 2'. The release is set for "after the summer of 2023".
This is the second book by the author on Elvis' impact on Spain, how his music and films were introduced in Spain between 1970 and 1990, what the press wrote about Elvis Presley, a complete discography and more. Elvis Presley isn't just a character from the past, but still, very much alive in Spain today.

The 1962 Lockheed 1329 JetStar that was previously owned by Elvis Presley and sat in the desert for the last 40 years was sold by Mecum Auctions at the Mecum Kissimmee Collector Car auction in Florida, for US$260,000.
On hand for the high-profile sale was Elvis’ former wife Priscilla Presley, who stood alongside the Mecum auctioneers during what turned out to be decidedly lackluster bidding.
“Elvis loved planes and this was one of them. This is my first auction and I’m excited to be here. Today would be Elvis’ 88th birthday,” she told the packed auction.
The 61-year-old jet wasn’t on hand at Kissimmee for viewing. It’s currently parked in the desert, gathering dust at the Roswell International Air Center in Roswell, New Mexico, where it has sat outside for close to 40 years.
The US$260,000 winning bid, it’s actually US$286,000 including fees, will likely be something of a disappointment for the seller, businessman Jim Gagliardi, of Madera, California. Gagliardi, 82, bought the jet at a 2017 auction for US$430,000, or US$498,000 after commission and fees.
