David Beckwith Died

David Beckwith, longtime publicist for Elvis Presley’s Graceland, passed away Friday. He was 67. His work with Graceland started in 1982 by managing hundreds of media attending the press conference announcing Graceland was opening to the public and continued through his passing last week. For 42 years, David was an integral part of protecting Elvis' legacy in the media and sharing the story of Graceland with the world.

David was not only a colleague, but a dear friend to so many of us and a beloved member of our Graceland family. His wit, sassiness, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew him well - and his contribution and dedication to the Elvis legacy will forever be remembered.
