July 02 - The Set That Changed The World

The Elvis Files team posted an update on Facebook on the 'That's All Right, The Song That  hanged The World' book / vinyl set. 

It stated: "Hi friends, Never ever before have my morning coffee tasted better. Got this one back from printing this morning. We will start packing and shipping to all of you in a few days. 

I must admit that I have never been happier getting stuff back from printing. It's just stunning."

The set comes in a collectors box, with a 3D replica record player playing 'That's All Right', a 200-page book on the record that changed the world, 2 LP's, 1 EP and a replica window card from the Poplar Tunes record store, the first one to sell an Elvis Presley record.

June 31 - Figting To Stay Liquid Orange

The VV import record label released another edition of their 2-LP / 2-CD set 'Fighting To Stay Alive'. This new edition is limited to 20 copies on 130 Gr. orange colored vinyl and comes with an 30 x 30 cm art-card. 

Publicity stated: This release marks the vinyl debut of the soundboard recordings of the February 21st and 22nd 1977 as recorded in Charlotte NC. The set comes with an incredible CD containing a 79 minutes compilation with combines the best of the two Charlotte shows giving us a complete show.

All the tracks were digitally restored and remastered, running time 63 minutes. 


Liquid Release

The replica re-issue of Elvis' first SUN records single on liquid vinyl has been released. This edition of 'That's All Right' / 'Blue Moon of Kentucky' plays at 78 RPM and is limited to 125 copies.

These records contain a 2-colour liquid, nicely matching those notable SUN colours, that moves inside the vinyl. 

Note: Rumor has it that this a release from the Memphis Recording Service, just like the 'Sun Splat' 78 RPM re-issues released a week ago.
