Graphic author Paul Belard published the 212-page book 'Elvis 2nd Ed Sullivan Show'.
Description: October 28, 1956 was a busy day in the Elvis’ world. He rehearsed for his second appearance on the 'Ed Sullivan Show', gave a press conference, posed for pictures as he was given a polio shot. Then, in the evening, at 8:00 he appeared on TV, singing 'Don’t Be Cruel', 'Love Me', 'Love Me Tender' and 'Hound Dog'.
In the meantime during the same day, not too far off, a giant cut-out of Elvis above the marquee of the Times Square Paramount Theater was unveiled, announcing the upcoming premiere of his movie 'Love Me Tender'.

On June 7, 1982, Graceland opened its doors to Elvis fans for the very first time, and the fans never stopped coming to Memphis.
On this day 44 years ago, Elvis Presley fans were beginning to line up in front of 3764 Elvis Presley Blvd in Memphis, Tennessee. With their $5 in hand, they were about to experience Graceland Mansion, the late "King's" home, in a way that they'd only dreamed of before.
"I quickly learned that Graceland was in serious trouble," Priscilla wrote in her memoir, 'Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis'. "The care of the grounds, the staff salaries, the animals requiring care, all were ongoing expenses. With no funds coming in, the upkeep was unsustainable."
Nowadays, more musicians' homes that have been opened to the public since their owners died. But in 1982, the idea of touring your idol's home was mostly unheard of, especially for someone as famous and beloved as Presley.
In the past 44 years, the Graceland campus has expanded considerably, offering a wealth of new and different experiences, new museum, large hotel plus a venue for concerts and other entertainment for its visitors.
Today, Graceland stands as the second-most-visited home in the United States, outpaced only by the White House. More than 500,000 people flock to Memphis every year to step inside the King's home, a pilgrimage that comes with a price tag, ranging from an US$85 base ticket to upwards of US$260 for total access.
