June 12 - Los Conciertos de Elvis Presley

Spanish author Carlos Alises Parra has released two "softcover" books about Elvis in Las Vegas titled 'Los Conciertos de Elvis Presley'. The 340-page book is a revised version of the book he released in 2024 while the 288-page book on 1970 is a new release. Both books are in Spanish and come with a link and QR code.

Description for the 1969 volume
: In 1969, Elvis Presley returned to the stage at the International Hotel in Las Vegas after nearly nine years away from live performances, during which he had focused on his Hollywood film career. Much has been written about this historic comeback, during which he gave 57 concerts between July 31 and August 28, 1969.

This book aims to gather, organize, and coherently present all the available material about this period. To this end, it draws on transcripts of documents, articles from the time, and testimonies from attendees to reconstruct one of the most important periods in Elvis's career, all source materials carefully translated into Spanish.

The book, along with the included video, offers a detailed analysis of the 57 concerts, accompanied by a comprehensive documentary compilation that includes testimonies, letters, notes, and historical records.

As bonus content, a link and QR code are included to access a video with footage from 1969 synchronized with the recording of the midnight concert of August 25, with the dialogue between songs subtitled in Spanish.

This second edition represents a complete revision of the work. It also incorporates photos and additional material that enhance the understanding of one of the most decisive and momentous periods in Elvis's career.

The book is available from >>> Amazon.

Description for the 1970 volume
: Elvis performed in Las Vegas in January and February of 1970, once again breaking attendance records and surpassing even the figures achieved during the previous summer.

While his first Las Vegas season marked his artistic rebirth and constitutes one of the most important milestones of his career, the summer of 1970 was immortalized by the filming of the documentary That's the Way It Is, becoming one of the best-known and most documented periods of his career.

However, the winter season of 1970 remains shrouded in a certain mystery. Little information has come to light, few images exist, and hardly any recordings of those performances have been preserved.

This book aims to rectify this situation and offer, for the first time in the Spanish language, a complete overview of this period through a compilation of documents, letters, testimonials from attendees, news reports from the time, and a detailed analysis of the concerts.

As additional content, a link and a QR code are included to access a video with synchronized images from the season with the performances of February 19, 1970, accompanied by the dialogues between songs subtitled in Spanish.
