Tupelo Purchases Land Near Elvis Presley Birthplace
The city of Tupelo purchased two plots of land near the Elvis Presley Birthplace for US$70,000, which will now allow the city to own nearly all the property surrounding the birthplace. The Elvis Presley Birthplace Foundation, which manages the day-to-day operations of the birthplace, agreed to contribute $10,000 to the purchase.
The city will now own all property in the general area of the birthplace, except one small plot of land, where a residential house is currently located. With the purchase the City and the Foundation secured that the land would not be used for other types of development and it will give the birthplace foundation more room to operate the attraction more efficiently.

The clear vinyl is only available from Elvis fan clubs and exclusive Elvis dealers and will not be available to the mainstream public and stores.
