This is her second book and was released for Elvis Week 2023. Kirk previously released the book 'Taking Care of Elvis' in 2015.
Danish Vinyl
The Danish Memphis Mansion record label released their re-issue of the 'Blue Hawaii' soundtrack. According to the audio engineer this is the "the definitive re-mixed and remastered version".
He added: The studio takes used in the movie for Can’t Help Falling in Love, Ku-I-po, and Beach Boy Blues we’re not the takes used on the original soundtrack album, but those versions are now used on this release to represent a more authentic soundtrack album.
The Jordanaires were originally mistakenly placed in the left audio channel, they are now where they should be, on the right.
I have also taken the liberty to remix some tracks by placing the drums, and some percussion, into the centre to make a more open and authentic stereo mix.
To round everything off I’ve also included Steppin’ Out of Line and placed it into the soundtrack where it would have been had it not been cut from the movie.
Then there are a couple of ‘minor unexpected surprises’ that I don’t wish to mention. That would spoil the surprise on listening to the album.
Blue Hawaii has never been released like this before by anyone. I try to make things different and worthwhile. Add to that the beautiful ocean blue colored vinyl, along with Soren’s suburb design work.
