Description: Elvis is the largest retrospective exhibition ever to leave the gates of Graceland. Featuring over 450 original artefacts and iconic stage wear outfits worn by the King of Rock 'n' Roll, the exhibition opened at Arches London Bridge.
In addition, Arches London Bridge announced the exhibit will include costumes worn by Austin Butler from Baz Luhrmann's film ELVIS! The outfits displayed include:
- '68 Comeback Special black leather suit
- Costume worn in the Lansky Bros/Milton Berle scene
- Outfit worn in the run up to The Steve Allen Show
- The cream jacket and trousers worn by Austin (Elvis) when he first visits Graceland
The Presley estate’s 1.5 million artefacts have been curated down into about 450 pieces on display here, with jumpsuits, cars, contracts, an immersive concert film room and all kinds of other King-related delights. You can see, for example, the Western Union Telegram that Elvis sent to Colonel Tom Parker in response to the impressively lucrative deal he had secured for the ’68 Comeback Special, it reads... “Dear Colonel, Is that the best you could do? Yours, Elvis…”
