May 15 - A Stereo Date With Elvis

The French RDM Edition record label announced the June 21, 2024 release of a third CD in the Mono II Stereo series titled 'For LP Fans Only & A Date With Elvis'.

Publicity stated: Two classic albums, for the first time in stereo! 'For LP Fans Only', released in February 1959, brings together songs already released on 45s or EPs in previous years, such as the classics 'That's All Right', 'Lawdy, Miss Clawdy', 'Mystery Train' or even the song 'Poor Boy', from the soundtrack of the film 'Love Me Tender'. 

'A Date with Elvis' was released in July 1959 and is based on the same principle of compiling titles already released on 45s or EPs in previous years. It features other Elvis classics like 'Blue Moon of Kentucky' and 'Good Rockin’ Tonight'. 

The stereo mixes on this CD, which is the latest in a series of Mono to Stereo reissues created by producer Anthony Stuchbury, are much more authentic than the original Mono versions, and allow these 20 songs to be experienced as if they had been mixed in stereo upon their initial release.

New DVD's

Impulso Records released the musical comedy 'Mi Regalo de Cumpleaños' ('Spinout'), the old west adventure 'Charro!' and the wild musical adventure 'A Lo Loco' ('Harum Scarum'). The DVDs are region 2, come with English and German audio and subtitles in many languages. 

Synopsis 'A Lo Loco' : Elvis Presley plays Johny Tyrone, a showbiz star who is kidnapped and taken to a distant Arab kingdom isolated from the world. There, she meets the Arab sheikh and becomes involved in a plot to prevent the assassination of the king of the desert. In this exciting adventure, Johny must use all of her talents and abilities to save the king and find a way out of this dangerous situation. Co-starring the talented actress and Miss America Mary Ann Mobley, as a damsel in distress.

Synopsis 'Charro': Jess Wade, played by the iconic Elvis Presley, receives news that her old girlfriend is in danger and decides to head to the Mexican border to help her. However, he soon discovers that he has fallen into a trap set by his former bandmates. In a land full of danger and betrayal, Wade must fight for his life and for the truth in an exciting confrontation that will challenge his limits. 

Synopsis 'Mi Regalo de Cumpleaños': A famous racing driver, who is also acclaimed as a Rock and Roll singer, constantly finds himself harassed by women. To escape this harassment, he will devise an ingenious plan: convince them to marry other men. However, things will not be as simple as he hopes, and he will soon find himself entangled in a series of hilarious and romantic situations.
