August 09 - Elvis Week Started

Elvis Week 2024 started today, August 9th and runs until August 17th.

The weeklong celebration of the life and legacy of Elvis Presley in his hometown Memphis, Tennessee. From concerts to parties, there's something for every type of Elvis fan. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience!

The 2024 edition of Elvis Week marks the 47th anniversary of the passing of Elvis Presley. The annual festivities are expected to draw tens of thousands of fans from across the U.S. and all over the world to the home of the King for a mix of concerts, panels, presentations, fan events, film screenings and more, including the annual Candlelight Vigil.

Although some events are free, you shouldn't forget to bring your wallet as some of the special tour tickets will set you back US$ 1.250! For that number you get "
An after-hours Graceland experience with special guest Linda Thompson, who dated Elvis from 1972-1976. First, enjoy a guided tour of Graceland Mansion by VP of Graceland Archives and Exhibits Angie Marchese. Then, take part in a very special Q&A session with Linda Thompson from inside the Jungle Room, as she answers your questions and shares her favorite stories and memories of Graceland."

Hacked!

The Polish Crazy About Elvis and Elvis Promised Land fanclub websites have been hacked.

On August 7th the Facebook and Messanger accounts of Elvis author and Elvis Day By Day contributor Mariusz Ogieglo were attacked by hackers and deleted. As a result, the author lost access to all related pages, including Elvis: Promised Land, Elvis Wszystkie Plyty Krola and Crazy About Elvis

The author is now trying to recover the lost pages and asks everyone for understanding. The author wants to emphasise that he didn't remove anyone from his contacts or limited anyone's access to the websites. All such occurrences were caused by the hacker attack on his account.

At this moment the only way to contact the author is via email: elvis.blog@interia.pl
The Elvis Promised Land blog is still active.
