The Cajun record label released the 'The King Creole Session - There's a Man In New Orleans' LP / CD.
Publicity stated that the audio has been upgraded and remastered for a superior vinyl and CD set, presented together in shrink wrapping. The set is available in both red and yellow vinyl in a strictly limited release of only 125 copies of each color.
Note: the producers updated their press-release with the correct colors for the vinyl.
Side 1: King Creole (Version 1, take 3) / Crawfish (Take 7, duet with Kitty White) / As Long As I Have You (Take 3) / Trouble (Master take) / New Orleans (Overdubbed master) / Dixieland Rock (Master take) / Lover Doll (Take 7, Undubbed version) / Steadfast, Loyal And True (Take 6) / As Long As I Have You (Take 8)
Side 2: King Creole (Version 1, take 18) / As Long As I Have You (Guitar overdub for soundtrack release) / Hard Headed Woman (Master take) / King Creole (Master take) / Steadfast, Loyal And True (Solo version with overdub) / Danny (Master take) / Don't Ask Me Why (Master take) / Young Dreams (Master take) / King Creole (Take 8, instrumental).
Note: the label previously released the 'King Creole Outtakes' CD with almost the same cover. The Elvis on CD website noted for the original CD "On the first sight a real great release, but it is a big fraud! The producers placed fake takes which were first used on the bootleg LP "King Creole Acetates". The supposedly different takes of different songs were actually the same ones played over and over again, changing the pitch and speed each time." Buyer beware!
Golden Years Premiere
Matt Shepherd uploaded a special Elvis Week edition of his 'Golden Years' radioshow on Mixcloud.
This edition features the world premiere of the new Mono II Stereo version of Elvis' golden classic 'I Need Your Love Tonight' as created by Anthony Stuchbury from the forthcoming 'Golden Elvis!' release on the French RDM Edition record label.
There’s a memory from Jerry Schilling about how he first met Elvis and hear how a record player that belonged to Elvis ended up in Cornwall, U.K. And much more (non Elvis) content.
