August 15 - Candlelight Vigil

If you are not in Memphis you can still join the other fans online for a night of remembrance and celebration as EPE and fans from around the world honor the enduring legacy of Elvis Presley at the annual Candlelight Vigil on August 15th. 

Fans gathered at Graceland on the evening of August 15 to carry a candle up to Meditation Garden in quiet remembrance of Elvis' life and legacy, on the 49th anniversary of his passing.

The Candlelight Vigil took place in Memphis for the 48th time, in memory of Elvis Presley. This year's theme song was ‘Until It’s Time for You to Go’, a fitting song for a subdued and emotional evening.

The Candlelight Vigil was remarkably quiet this year. Many Elvis fans seem to be postponing their trip to Memphis and saving it for 2027, when it will be exactly 50 years since Elvis passed away. A particularly large turnout is expected then.
