This edition, presented as "the legendary partnership at the heart of a major motion picture' comes with a new cover and newly written afterword by the author.

A 1963 silkscreen ink and silver paint on canvas of Elvis by Andy Warhol sold at a Sotherbys auction for US$21,581,000 (incl. buyers premium). The estimate for the piece from "a notable private collection" was US$15,000,000 - US$25,000,000.
Warner Bros. will re-issue Elvis' and Ann-Margret's musical comedy 'Viva Las Vegas' on Blu-Ray on June 20, 2022. This re-issue comes with the Theatrical Trailer, the featurette 'Kingdom: Elvis in Vegas' and commentary by Steve Pond. Also included are the movie on DVD and the soundtrack on CD.

Baz Luhrmann shared posters for the 50's, 60's and '70's for his upcoming Elvis biopic.
The STAR import label announced the May 25, 2022 release of the DVD 'Meet Me in Memphis - Elvis as recorded live in the Mid-south Coliseum'. This NTSC DVD is region free and limited to 500 copies worldwide.
Publicity stated: After 20 years, the best just got better. This DVD includes all songs complete from the 1974 concert, without skips and black screens, even the spoken parts are edited in a way as if it is the real deal. Fans from the label know what to expect so get ready for the DVD of the year!
The last months lots of footage has seen the light of day, but most of it is purely for collectors, since it is either way too short, bad sound, bad edits or all combined. Until now. We made a new edit from the various sources available, using the best angles and footage. The audio is taken from multitrack recordings and will blow you away!
The STAR team has been working on this project for months now and the result is stunning, never before a 1974 concert this complete with over 90 percent of edits from the actual year has been released. It is impossible to name some of the highlights, since the entire DVD is one big highlight.

For the first time in a long while Lisa Marie Presley posted a message on Facebook.
"Hello everyone,
I haven’t posted in quite some time because there really isn’t much to say, as I am and will forever be mourning the loss of my son. Navigating through this hideous grief that absolutely destroyed and shattered my heart and my soul into almost nothing has swallowed me whole.
Not much else aside from my other 3 children gets my time and attention anymore.
However, that being said, I do want to take a moment to let you know that I have seen Baz Luhrmann's movie “Elvis” twice now, and let me tell you that it is nothing short of spectacular.
Absolutely exquisite.
Austin Butler channeled and embodied my father’s heart and soul beautifully.
In my humble opinion, his performance is unprecedented and finally done accurately and respectfully.
(If he doesn’t get an Oscar for this, I will eat my own foot, haha.)
You can feel and witness Baz’s pure love, care, and respect for my father throughout this beautiful film, and it is finally something that myself and my children and their children can be proud of forever.
What moved me to tears as well was watching Riley and Harper, and Finley afterwards, all 3 visibly overwhelmed in the best way possible way, and so filled with pride about their grandfather and his legacy in a way that I have not previously experienced.
It breaks my heart that my son isn’t here to see it. He would have absolutely loved it as well.
I can’t tell you enough how much I love this film and I hope you love it too.
Everyone involved poured their hearts and souls into it, which is evidenced in their performances.
Baz, your utter genius combined with your love and respect for my father and this project is just so beautiful and so inspiring. I know I'm being repetitive, but I don’t care, Thank you for setting the record straight in such a deeply profound and artistic way.

Sally Hoedel, author of the book 'Destined To Die Young' announced the release of her second book, titled 'Destined to Fly'.

As a writer, it’s a day of celebration that the work is complete and can soon be shared. As a friend, it’s a privilege to tell Ron’s life story, as I know it will inspire all of you as much as it has me.
Stories of a simple childhood in rural Iowa, twelve years of service in the United States Air Force during Vietnam, a hijacking as an airline pilot and flying Elvis Presley from tour to tour are all captured in this book. Ron’s story is one of bravery, patriotism, hard work, perseverance, love, family and flying.
The journey of this book began one year ago. I spent a week interviewing Ron at his home in Florida. It was clear from day one that there was a story there worth telling and it went far beyond his two years co-piloting the Lisa Marie. The months that followed included research and interviews, all with the full support of his family and friends. The most daunting day was sharing the first draft with Ron himself. Thankfully, he liked it.

The Italian rockband Måneskin performed a cover of Elvis Presley's 'If I Can Dream' during the finale of the European Song Contest - which the won in 2021. The broadcast was seen by 200 million viewers.
The Italian band revealed that they had collaborated with Luhrmann on a track, 'If I Can Dream'. "We felt a huge connection with Lurhmann's ELVIS and we decided to jump on it. We’re really proud of what we did, we can’t wait to see it.”
Luhrmann is known for infusing period films such as 'Moulin Rouge' and 'Romeo + Juliet' with modern songs.
Måneskin's interpretation of the song will be part of the 'Elvis' movie soundtrack coming this June.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, rare vehicle sales, especially at the higher end of the spectrum, have continued to buck all trends. A new report, formulated by classic car experts Hagerty, lists the 'Power List'.
The valuations company has investigated the impact celebrity - movies, music, racing drivers and royalty - ownership and movie association has on market value.
An overall Power List for 2022 features individuals – some of them fictional – names the 10 with the biggest impact on car prices. James Bond took number one spot, ahead of Paul Walker and Elvis. However, this ranking is purely limited only to characters and A-listers with eight traceable vehicle sales to their name.

The Danish Memphis Mansion announced the release of the book Upcoming book 'Elvis’ America - From Sea to Shining Sea'. The book is expected out later this year.
It was written by the three "Elvis travelers" Henrik Knudsen, Ljars Gjeding and Anthony Stuchbury, who have followed in Elvis footsteps for close to 40 years and together made more than 200 trips to the USA.
According to the publicity the book is "all you need is this book if you want to check out Elvis sights in America".

Australian researcher and collector, Bob Hayden, has published his latest three books titles 'Elvis Presley - Australian 45rpm Extended Player Covers'. The three volumes provide a full color visual record of, and information about, all side 1 and side 2 labels for each of Elvis' 7-inch 45RPM Extended Play records released in Australia.
This includes variations of particular titles. Book 3 also features photos and information about two unofficial Elvis EPs produced in Australia. The books complement Bob's earlier volumes recording the covers for each of the EP releases (he is working on similar volumes for Elvis' Australian LP releases).
