May 07 - Iconic Give-A-Way

Lucky fans visiting Graceland today will receive the free limited edition - 1,000 copies - vinyl single 'Suspicious Minds / You’ll Think of Me' as part of EPE's 'ELVIS 45 Record Giveaways in 2022'.

Loving Blue Vinyl

The Not Now Music budget label released the LP 'Elvis Presley: Loving You' on 180 Gr. blue colored vinyl. This is probably a delayed release as the back states "2021". 

Synopsis: Released in 1957, Loving You did very well at box offices around the world. In the UK the album was issued on 10-inch vinyl and topped the album charts featuring popular tracks Mean Woman Blues, (Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear, Got A Lot O’ Livin’ To Do!, Party, Lonesome Cowboy, Hot Dog and the title song Loving You. 

In the US, the album was issued on 12-inch vinyl with four extra additional tracks topping the US album charts for 10 weeks. Those four songs are equally strong with Elvis covering Blueberry Hill, I Need You So and Have I Told You Lately That I Love You? 

Plus, the original version of Don’t Leave Me Now, which he would later re-record for his next film, Jailhouse Rock. The reception of the film placed Elvis among the biggest selling box office stars, and he was now managing both a musical and acting career with the call of the US Army draft.

Preview Elvis Icon Book

Here is a preview of the upcoming 'Elvis Presley: Pop Icons' book by Daniel Ichbiah and various graphic artists. The French book is due on June 3, 2022 from Ecran.

 

The King Of Rock 'n' roll is told by the pop verve of Daniel Ichbiah, biographer of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, M, of madonna and Michael Jackson. His pen was designed to explore the life and work of Elvis. The publisher behind the ‘Pop Icons’ series took a different approach at the Elvis Presley story, presenting Elvis’ life story through the eyes aof twenty big names in comic books and illustration. 

They were brought together by artistic director Pierrick Starsky, who guided the varied interpretations and graphic styles into one coherent story, maintaining consistency between both classic and more surprising illustrations by graphi artists like Beltran, Janis Do, Stéphane Trapier, Claire Bouilhac and Lucas Harrari. 

The launch of the book 'Elvis-Pop Icons #1' will be accompanied by a participatory pre-order campaign launched on May 11, 2022 on KissKissBankBank.

In addition, on June 18, 2022, 2022 a large number of works illustrating "Elvis-Pop Icons #1" will be dispersed in the form of NFT during an auction organized in partnership with the house Boischaut Digital.Digital
