February 10 - Remembering Elvis and Phil

Phil Gelormine's wife Debbie shared the sad news that Elvis author, publisher and fan Phil Gelormine has succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was 75. R.I.P. my friend, thank you the friendship, enthusiasm and great Foreword for my last book, 'Elvis Day By Day 2022', released just 3 weeks ago.

"Dearest Friends,

I join you again to let you know that Phil passed peacefully earlier his morning. I’m sure he’s enjoying a drink with Dave Wolven on a bench in heaven, and planning all the great musical artists they’ll be seeing together.

Your outpouring of love for Phil has meant so much to both of us and his family as well. May the joy he found in music and in life remain in your hearts.

God’s Peace,
Debbie"

Phil was publisher of the Elvis World magazine in the seventies and was a reporter for Billboard and Rolling Stone magazine. He wrote the Billboard review of 'Aloha From Hawaii' in 1973 which he kindly allowed me to include in the before mentioned 2022 yearbook.

My deepest condolences to his wife Debbie, his family and friends in this time of grief.
